Well Defined & Immersive
The BIC PL-300 Sub is the foundation of sound in a Home Theater layout that is in a bedroom of 1800 cu ft. In this size room cubic volume, one PL-300 does the job just fine. I tried two (the 2nd was a 12” sealed box down firing). In this size room, the PL-300 by itself sounded the best. For movie LFE bass it rattles your rib cage and you feel vibrations all the way through your body like in the beginning of ‘Godzilla King of the Monsters.’ I was concerned that it might be hard to get it to do well with music too. But, no problem, It does very well with music too. The AVR is a Denon AVR2800H in 5.1.2 atmos config. We also have a main home theater setup in a 3600 cu ft room volume space with 2 SVS PB-4000 Subs with a Marantz 7.2.4 atmos config. The smaller room with the single BIC PL-300 comes very close to the presence and power you experience in the bigger space. In both of our home theater spaces, using the A-weighted SPL meter in my Apple Watch, I can match Sound Pressure Levels I measure when seated in a commercial movie theater like AMC Theaters. I am amazed at the power and tight defined bass with the PL-300 at its price point. With Offenbach’s - Orpheus in the Underworld Overture - in the ‘Can Can’ and toward the end you can clearly hear bass drum, string bass, tuba, and bass trombone like you are right there - it’s clear and not muddled together. Our speakers are crossed-over is at 80 hz and below to the sub. Of the 3 ports, one port is plugged on the PL-300 so it plays infrasonic down to 15 Hz (felt but not heard). The sense of presence, immersion, and ‘being there’ a good subwoofer brings to a listening space is truly amazing - it makes or breaks the whole sound system. The BIC Acoustech PL-300 does this job very well.

Best value subwoofer
A couple years ago I bought a second hand home theater system on craigslist and it came with a sub from this brand. I was really impressed with its performance so when I started shopping for a sub to integrate into a sound system in my bonus room I looked to the same brand. For what this sub costs, I was expecting performance on par with the old one I already had. When it arrived I swapped it in for my old one just to try it out in the same space. I was not disappointed. This sub blends perfectly with the rest of my system and goes even lower in frequency. Exactly what I wanted for the electronic music I listen to and the scifi shows I watch. I can’t wait to get it into the bonus room and see how it fills a bigger space.

Just WOW!
I have been running a pair of tower speakers with dual 10” woofers in my home theater system for about 20 years now. I have always been pretty happy with their ability to reproduce bass, and make movies sound so much better than the TV speakers. I finally got around to adding a sub, and chose this one based on a ton of research. I have been blown away, almost literally, by the amount of difference this speaker makes in my system. I was able to get it dialed in so that it’s sounds like a direct extension of the rest of the 5.1 system. As capable as my tower speakers are, there really is no comparison to the same set up with this speaker added. If you’re not sure whether you need it, get it! I regret not getting one of these years ago.

Acoustech subs
This is my 3rd Acoustech sub, a second PL300 with a single PL200II and a single Sonance sub separated into 2 sub outputs with my Denon AVR running in 9.2, main speakers are all hand crafted Focals. With 135 per channel on the mains the extra bass capability has more than enough head room to create a live performance sound level at 45% power output with frequencies both above and below the human hearing range.

It’s great
It is bigger then I thought it would be it takes up a good amount of space but is worth every penny

The Best Low Budget Priced Subs Ever You Must Buy These!!!!
I've heard many subwoofers of all shapes, sizes, and power outputs, but these are Excellent Subs, these are my first subs that I've ever bought and I am SUPER HAPPY With My Purchase... I Bought Duels and Now I will buy another set and Have a Quad Subwoofer Setup with these Big Bad Boys. You don't need hardly any power to make these Subs Bang you can put the volume on your Reciever to 1 and these things start to THUMP (NO CAP)!!!! They Are LOUD. If you set them right you will hear (NO PORT NOISE OR CHUFFING AT ALL) Buy These Now If You Can, They are AWESOME for All Music And Movies.

Be careful on break in period.
These are the best subwoofers ever! They are so powerful that you need to be extra careful when breaking them in.I bought a second one after I found out how good they work. You need two to balance the thunder evenly. My neighbors say I live in the house of a thousand drums. They are super loud when cranked but be careful when breaking them in on distortion free music at low levels for the first hundred hours. These are the best value for a sound volume output than any other sound system upgrade that you can find. Just set the crossover in mid-range and your sound system low end will rock your pants off. Just be sure to take the pictures off the wall first before you crank it up loud.If you can buy four of these for rock concert level loudness everybody will want to drink beer and party at your house for sure. I want to get four but do not have the capacity sadly enough.I highly recommend that you get a small high output metal fan to blow on the heatsink if you do like to crank it as much as I do.Go buy two now if you can make it work and you will probably never make your Soundsystem overheat again even though I do it all the time. Then go buy two more once you find out how good these work!
