POWERSERIES Extreme MAX 20V MAX* Cordless Stick Vacuum

I got this vac over others due to the removable 20V MAX B&D batteries that use the same ones as their tools. Only a few cordless stick vacs have that sort of option. You can even buy a battery adapter for other manufacturers' 18/20V batteries (I have one for Milwaukee M18 and Makita), so you don't have to invest in more batteries if you already have some. More importantly, you are not stuck with the 2Ah battery--if you want longer run time, you can get bigger batteries (it will of course increase the weight of the vac), or get a few more 2Ah batteries and keep going. Most of the other stick vacs have sealed internal batteries. The battery charger is clever--you can charge just the battery, or charge it while it's inserted in the vac, or place the charger into the wall mount so that it can charge when it's hanging there. As for the vacuum itself, it's pretty powerful. The brushless power head does a great job of lifting up tons of hair and dust from my carpet, about as good as my full-sized corded vac. The vac is a bit heavier than I expected, and the stick is not adjustable (so it could be awkward for short people), but nevertheless, I don't have a problem maneuvering it. Everything fits snug, so there is no rattling, creaking or flexing. But with such tight fitting components, there's no tolerance for easy "one-handed" detaching or attaching--it fits and clicks in, or it doesn't. While this is good in general, the waste canister needs a bit of effort to pop out for emptying and snap back into place. Not the best design, but effective, and the seals are tight. The unforgiving fit also applies to the battery and charger, so it takes a little bit of effort to line up and click in. As others have noted, the biggest drawback to this vac is that there isn't enough clearance between the head and the floor. While this provides excellent suction under the head, larger debris gets pushed around. And it has little to no suction around the front and sides of the head, so you'd have to use the other attachments to touch up the crevices around baseboards/walls. Still, if you want a great hair, dust and dirt vac because you have pets or wear shoes in the house, this is a far better value for this job than overpriced Dyson or mediocre cheap stick vacs. It's a great option for vacuuming in between a more thorough vacuuming session with your corded canister or house vac.

Very good. I have 4 furry animals and it picks up hair nicely. The only drawback is the debris collector. It is static filled regardless of what I wash it with. It is quite difficult to snap back on. I broke my first B&D by pushing too hard and broke the main stem. This one I am more careful.

Good suction durable light works great at night wonderful the vacuum works for about 50 minutes, but I have another one and it’s pretty good. I think that’s an excellent time so the value is great and it’s great for dirt and dog hair.

I am so truly disappointed with this purchase. I am a Black and Decker girl, I have a B&d yard trimmer that runs on battery as well as a leaf blower that runs on the same battery set. I was contemplating purchasing a lawnmower that runs on the same battery set, but now I might have to rethink that. I bought this specifically to clean my car because it's over 100 ft away from my nearest outlet where it is parked, struggling to get my vacuum cleaner down there is not a fun task anyway. Since I already had three of these batteries, this purchase seemed to make sense. But the battery is not strong enough for suction power on the handheld. When I use it as a straight vacuum, it seems to do pretty well on my rugs, but not deep deep cleaning. It is extremely hard trying to put the container that contains the dirt and hair back onto the vacuum. Almost like it's going to break. I do not recommend.

I ordered this product due to many reviews that I read. I am sick of paying the crazy price that Dyson charges so I thought I would give this a try. I actually still have a dustbuster that I purchased 23 years ago. Granted it only runs for 30 seconds but that is enough time to vacuum up the lint when cleaning out the dryer trap! This machine has a great battery life and works very we, we have two dogs. The canister is a bit small and needs to be emptied frequently to ensure that it works at an optimal level. I would highly recommend this product and will amend later if needed.

For what it costs and in the right use case, this thing is great. I live in a 2.2k sf condo with wood floors and a few area rugs. Got this mostly to clean up scattered cat litter. Pros - did the whole house today, including rugs, under beds and using the amazing pet hair tool on two couches. Done with a third of a charge left. It’s quiet and easy to empty. The light is handier than I expected. Cons - the head loves to swivel and takes a bit of getting used to. Putting the dust bin back on after you empty it is fidgety. Changing time is pokey but fine. It stands on its own, but would be very easy to knock over. As others have said, on floors, there is oddly no suction at the front. Once you figure that out, it’s fine. Save a few hundred bucks. Get this instead of the Dyson.

I hate vacuuming. And I have carpet and a dog who should be bald she sheds so much. This vacuum has the power to really suck up the dust and pet hair. I didn't buy an extra battery to begin with but have now because it does run out pretty quickly ( it has to work hard in my house). Also, the waste canister is fairly small and needs emptying often. I'm hoping that will be less an issue when I get "caught up" with what my previous vacuum didn't pick up. It's easy to use, not too heavy and no louder than my old electric Kenmore.

I bought this vacuum about 4 months ago. I have given it an honest try. I HATE this vacuum. The battery doesn't even last long enough to clean my RV!!! Nevermind a house. I can do my kitchen and living room and then it dies!!!! It is SO HEAVY! The lip to pick up the simplest, smallest items doesn't work!! I tried to vacuum up some dropped/dry rice yesterday and it just pushes it around the floor!! The suction when trying to clean under my kitchen table is TERRIBLE. OH AND!!! It is SUCH A PAIN to get the different head pieces on because the standard one is SO HARD to get off!!!! truly the worst vacuum I have ever owned. I am going back to a shark vacuum.

This vacuum is a wonderful product! It has great suction and is very lightweight. The charge lasts plenty of time for me to complete my work and it is very easy to empty out.
