This is a stove top protective mat that appears to be like neoprene, not 'natural rubber' as in the descriptions. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing it's a simple mistranslation. No big thing. The bottom or stove side of the mat is indeed rubbery (synthetic) anti-skid/slide material, the top side is the 'fabric' looking side of the neoprene. All black. There are to 'loops' on the longer side (see pictures in description). The edges are nicely surge seamed, no ravels. Nice. We just got a glass top stove, and this is great to cover and protect the glass top. You can set stuff on your stove without scratching the glass. As it says in the description, it is NOT heat safe. Do not put in on top of a hot glass/stove surface. Be aware that the mat is a basic rectangle - no cut outs for knobs or whatever. I also have one of these mats for the RV, and use it on top of the RV range cover so as to not scratch the stainless surface - plus the neoprene does not slide around as the RV rolls down the road. Very nice. You could even use it as a gaming mouse pad in a pinch. Lots of flexibility. Nice product, very little smell when opened. For whatever reason, ours did not do the 'wave' or 'wrinkle' thing. We just laid it out flat like normal and started using it.

This would be a really nice cover for the stove if it would just lie flat!I will revise this review, if and when it does.This is such a neat concept- cover your stove top to keep crumbs and dirt out of it! Especially those of us with a microwave right above it. It gives you extra counter space in your kitchen- win.The cover is made of some kind of wipeable surface- almost like material. It wipes clean- though I would not want to get any grease on it.It fits my stovetop perfectly. My stove is Gas- not glass top but it still fits great. It came rolled and the lines were present upon unrolling- this is not because of my stovetop, as you can see the lines going vertically up and down the top. There are two loops so that you can hang the cover if you like. I just re-roll it loosely.I am wondering if I am not the only one with crease problems, as the cover is now 50% off. Oh well. One star removed in hopes over time it decides to fix itself.

This cover is designed for use on a smooth glass cooktop. I have a glass top range that I use it on, so it doesn’t have quite the exact dimensions but it works well just the same. We have a super small kitchen and counterspace is at a premium. By putting this on our glass top stove, we add a bit more counterspace. We used to use the stovetop, but this is much easier to clean off crumbs. I like the fact that it’s washable and easy to clean so I don’t worry about people spilling milk or juice on it.It comes with 2 loops on the top edge so it can hang on hooks when not in use. My stove has one side open to the doorway and I plan to hang command hooks on the side to hold this cover when I’m using the stove to cook.One note, this is not a heat-proof pad. It will melt if you put it on a hot stove, so make sure the stove is cooled before putting it in place. An improvement would be to make it of silicone so it could be heat resistant.

I just got a new electric range with a smooth glass top. Definitely an improvement on the porcelain top with the electric burners. But higher maintenance and a few more worries because the surface is easily damaged. Those tops are not as durable, but look great. you need to be sensitive about how you clean because you can ruin the glass top. It's not the cooking that creates the problems (though it could). It's the fact because it is flat glass and convenient to set things on (or drop things on), it doesn't take long to treat it as a countertop, and it's not.This cover fits great. It's a soft neoprene material (think wetsuit) that you can set a hot dish plate on and it won't melt r get damaged. WARNING, it is not indestructible. You can't turn on the burners underneath or throw it down on a hot burner. That could cause some damage. But it can withstand heat, so it gives you a lot of working space and if you get it dirty, it can be cleaned without damaging it.

I didn't really know that they made such a protector like this, but I think it is a great idea. It protects your ceramic stovetop from damage and, at the same time, it gives you more space for prep or just for sitting things. The protector is well made and fits my GE stove almost perfectly. The rubberized bottom keeps it in place and it also looks nice. I don't have cats, but it would also be good from protecting the stovetop from them. It folds easily when not in use. It is important to note that you can't put it on a hot stove.In one of the reviews someone said that they couldn't get the ripples out that were due to it being rolled when shipped, but I saw on the listing that you could use this as a protector when ironing, so I'm thinking you could probable iron it to get it to lay flat.I would definitely recommend.

It makes the kitchen look clean. My glass trove top is getting old and takes some elbow grease to get it looking brand new. I like using this cover because it protects it as much as possible between uses. We tend to place items from our grocery runs on the glass as extra surface area now we don’t have to worry about scratches or harming the cook top. Nice product for a piece of mind and fits perfectly. Good quality too.
