I have a pair of knee high Freebird boots that are just a little too tight in the calf to wear with anything other than a dress/skirt. I bought these cedar shapers hoping that I could get the leather to give a little. I will admit it took me a little bit to figure out how to extend and properly insert. The cedar smell is amazing and I have been able to get enough stretch to wear with skinny jeans. Would absolutely recommend.

Great quaity ... great for tall boots 14"to 18"

I love this product. It arrived very well made and smelled amazing. I needed this to store my tall dressage boots when I am not using them. I got the 14 for my tall boots and they fit perfectly. I appreciate the metal knobs for ease of use. The only problem I had was a crack on the outside of the wood that I was not happy about. See last photo of said crack.

The quality is great... it has a good heavy weight to it and there is no plastic used. The adjustments are easy to make--spin the boot shaft trees counter-clockwise to expand and clockwise to contract. There are markings for "front" and "back". I placed these into 10" shaft roper boots on top of the same brand cowboy boot trees; and the ropers still fit inside a standard-sized boot bag. Will buy more.

They work amazing, keeps my boots looking like new for longer. I like to clean the boots, put some leather moisturizer, to soften the leather before installing the shaft tree. And just let it dry and you’ll be amazed on how your boot gains some life back.

I had some 8.5 women’s tall boots customized to fit my extra wide calves, they got expanded to 19/ 19.5 inches. I got the 14 inch boot tree and these work great! My boots are sturdy and no bunching occurs. The shape is nice and filled out, thanks to the lady who made a video showing how to expand these (it’s not with the gold knob LOL) The cedar wood smell is not as strong as other reviews mention, my parents old school cedar hangers from the 90’s were way strong, but it’s still nice. These trees feel sturdy and weighty enough. They’re also long enough for equestrian boots. Easy to use, look really nice and look high quality enough. Included are photos of how wide it expands vs. Regular setting.

I just had my daughter's heels on her boots fixed. These boots have been stuck and crushed in the back of the closet. Now with these inserts, they are standing up tall. Tey were simple to use, and the boots look so much better.

Natural product that works well. Easy to use and great value for money.

Honestly, I bought this product based off ONE review I read on this page. As soon as they mentioned “stretched the calf” I immediately bought it. I was hunting down a cobbler to see if they were able to stretch my leather boots so it was easier to zip up AND have the calf area not as tight. Seems like cobblers don’t like or want to take on this job as none got back to me. Before those who say “learn to get a bigger size so it fits” clearly don’t understand body proportions. I always get shoes that fit my feet size but I have thicker calves. My feet are 4.5-5 so shall I buy a size 7-8 just so my calves will fit? Wrong. I’ve had leather boots that were a 6 and I still couldn’t zip them up. These were excellent and I can expand them really really far and the quality is great and the smell to me is quite strong. I’ll see after a few days and try on the boots and if I am able to zip up WHILE wearing jeans. I would praise endlessly to the company who created such an excellent product. This product is the best of both worlds in keeping the shape as well as being able to stretch materials.

Not completely bowled over with them. They don’t seem to fill out the entire inside upper part of the boots. Therefore, leaving space to sag which is the opposite of what is needed. One thing in its favour is the authenticity of the wood. The smell is breathtaking.

But they are expensive and, as it turns out, they are WAY too tall for my boots. They are supposed to work with the brand's boot shoe trees, which I have, but the shoe trees are already tall to begin with. They might work with lower shoe trees. Be sure to note the height!
