Nice poultice for horse.
I really like this. I keep the container in the refrigerator. Goes on smoothly, rinses off easily. Does a good job keeping my boy from stocking up.

Sore-No-More can work for humans too!
I heard of this product from an endurance horsewoman friend after I told her I was thinking about using clay on my infection and edema ridden leg. I followed through and now confessing I used this on my own (human) cellulitis infected legs. Not on open wounds, but to help reduce terrible edema and cool the leg with the infection (under the skin, in the fascia layer, like a burn from the inside). I also was on IV antibiotics, so I am not suggesting the poultice was a cure, but it seemed to help the texture of my skin and drew the heat out nicely. I applied it and wrapped it just like one probably would a horse using clean flannel strips. I also tried it with saran wrap over top of the clay, then wrapped that. It was cleaner that way and stayed moist for hours while I kept my legs up above my heart. For a comparison I used it on my "bad" leg only the first time. The bad leg looked better than the "good" leg afterward! After that I just did both legs every day or so while the worst was happening. The arnica (pain and inflammation helper) and lavender (antibacterial and scent) in this seem to be part of the magic, but the clay (bentonite?) is also key of course. My doctor even allowed this when I told her about it, if not formally prescribed it, agreeing it was probably OK if it was clean and commercially prepared, as this seems to be. (I would otherwise have tried my son's pottery clay). Now I have a huge supply of course, since 5 pounds is a lot of poultice, but I will probably give most of to my horsewoman friend for her horses. I will definitely keep some to use for comforting my edema sometimes, even to use on my face! And yes, my leg is all healed now, two months later.

Kind of miraculous
I have a 32 y/o mare with terrible arthritis in one knee. The joint is very enlarged. She had been walking with a limp so severe that she had to throw her head to take the weight off that leg. She would stand with her leg out in front not putting any weight on it. For months when the horses came to eat I would have to go find her and bring her to the barn. She was just exhausted. I just started using this a couple of weeks ago and she was significantly better after a few days. She now walks with a slight limp. She stands normally with full equal weight bearing and is waiting at the barn with everyone else at feeding times. This stuff has literally saved her life.
