Not just for skin tones
I love these pencils! I found out today that they worked out perfectly for the hair on the girl’s portrait that I just completed. These pencils would also be good to use for animal portraits or drawings. I have many different kinds of colored pencils and have found that you don’t have to stick to just one type when doing artwork. Experiment and see.

Poorly Sharpened Out of the Box
Disappointing! I usually use Prismacolor pencils, but needed some skin tones, so thought I’d give these a try. The first thing I noticed was how poorly they were sharpened … none were usable as they came, and the first two I sharpened broke as I was sharpening, meaning loosing lots of pencil to get them resharpened correctly. Debated returning, but as I did like the colors, decided to keep them, but won’t be buying this brand again.

Nice Set
I love these pencils, and they would be a great addition to any set of colored pencils. If you enjoy doing portrait-type pictures in coloring books, these will be your go-to set. The pencils have shades that will work in nature scenes, too.
