bought this tester to check voltage and cca of car batteries which does perfectly, and is easy to use. have not tried the obd2 reader yet has I have no warning light on the dashboard.

Excellent tester in its functions and build quality, however most batteries are marked in AH and its a shame that their isn’t a selection for this as you need to convert AH to CCA, DIN etc.

I was excited to receive this ANCEL battery tester, as I hoped it would offer me more insight into the 12V cells in my solar array than a standard multi-meter. It has turned out to be a really versatile bit of kit. Setup is straightforward. Clip it on, it powers itself from the battery, and the colour screen is clear and easy to read. It runs proper tests for battery health (SOH, SOC, CCA, internal resistance), cranking (starter draw), charging (alternator output and ripple) and basic voltage. The plain English verdicts (Good / Good-Recharge / Replace) are genuinely helpful, and the QR code reports are a nice touch for keeping records. I’ve tested it on both lithium and lead-acid batteries now. It called a tired leisure battery correctly and confirmed the solar bank was still in good shape. The crank test is obviously more relevant for cars and vans, but the other functions work well for all 12V applications including solar, boats and motorcycles. Reverse polarity protection is reassuring too. One feature I particularly like is the firmware upgradable design. As new battery chemistries come along it should stay useful for years rather than becoming obsolete. You do have to put your faith in Ancel for this one though. Build feels reasonable for the price, the clamps are solid and it’s compact enough to keep in the boot. At the current price this is solid value. It’s not the cheapest tester around but the extra features and versatility make it worth it. If you maintain multiple vehicles or have off-grid/solar batteries, this is a worthwhile tool. Llegó antes de lo previsto Lleva un analizador de baterías pero el cable es corto Se conecta al OBD2 pero en un mini one del 2010 tuve que decirle el protocolo OBD2 que usa El preparatorio de Im es muy completo y para prepararlo para la ITV viene muy bien El manual lo tienes que buscar por Internet Viene con una caja, un papel con primeros pasos, cables de batería y cable USB Este obd su fuerte es la batería y los tests de ITV y de perdida de gasolina También tiene datos en vivo de los cilindros, sondas etc...pero no del cambio automático Pero en fin es muy util para lo que cuesta y en mi caso para ir tranquilo a la ITV que cada vez esta peor con las emisiones Le falta suyo detección de vehículo y de ahí 4 de 5 estrellas

I needed a battery tester and ordered a Topdon BT100 because it seemed to have good reviews on Amazon. But I was disappointed in the Topdon tester. The alligator clips would not fit well on my batteries and it gave inconsistent results. I recently bought an Ancel AD410 Code reader for my car in Hawaii and I was impressed by its quality and function, so I decided to try the AD410 Pro which combines the battery tester with the code reader for my cars at home. When the Pro arrived I was immediately impressed with its quality appearance when compared to the Topdon model. Then I tried the battery tester functions and the tester worked very well and consistently with good quality connecting clips. I'm returning the Topdon tester and happily keeping this Ancel unit. It even comes with a decent carrying case which the Topdon model didn't have. The Ancel unit has a nice rubber protective sleeve and most importantly, it works well. On top of all of the above, you can first order the $23 black protective hard case and you get it free when you order the PRO scanner. Such a deal!
