I bought one two and a half years ago for a similar price and it was awesome, so I thought I would give the brand another chance and so far so good I suppose. The bag has a plenty of room and I don't really regret buying, maybe if it was in blue, I would be happier but generally, the bag is 100% functional, would buy again.

Great build...check sizing though
I bought this for my 17" Laptop and was thoroughly impressed with the construction of the bag and it's thought-out compartments. However, The bag seems to be measured 17" tall, whereas laptops tend to be measured diagonally across the screen...it dwarfed my laptop (which moved around a lot, even with the internal straps done to the max).Thankfully, the seller was very understanding and allowed me to return for a refund.Would definitely recommend this to anyone that has an enormous laptop

Appears good quality and value for money
Appears good quality and value for money. Bought as a Christmas present for my son, so fast he is very impressed with it.

Value for money with decent quality. would be even better if it had more foam padding at the bottom and straps
I read 1 of the reviews complaining about poor waterproofing of this bag and I beg to disagree. The moment it arrived, I poured some water over the lining and it didn't seep through as described. Another time, I carried this through at tropical thunderstorm and my umbrella was tilted and directed rain onto the bag by accident, yet my laptop remained dry inside, in fact, the paddings inside remained dry. It's a rather well-designed laptop with low profile looks that's affordable compared to other laptop bags. Pros:There's enough compartments and pockets to stuff things yet gives that subdued look without attracting much attention or looking huge.Decent waterproofing even in heavy rains.Cons:The only problem(s) I have with this is the lack of sufficient padding on shoulder straps that can make long carrying of very heavy laptops a little uncomfortable, there's also a noticeable lack of padding at the bottom of the laptop compartment so laptops must be gently lowered or bag carefully placed.

Fully capable of it's asked to do
I bought this bag partly from lugging a roller laptop bag around for work and personal use. It's all black without any crazy designs with extra large zipper handles. This bag holds my 17" wide screen laptop with no problems. The pouch made to hold the laptop is set with velcro on both left and right sides. So I am able to adjust it for the 17" and my work laptop which is a 15" and it holds it snug. The same zipper section contains a large area to place folders or binders. I can fit a 1" binder with my laptop and still have a little extra space. An extra bonus is that it also has a thin ouch that goes half way down, extra pockets never hurt. The middle zipper is a lot thinner but contains a sleeve to slide in a notebooks or other similar objects. It also has a red pocket that goes almost all way way down, again nothing wrong with extra dividers/pockets. There is a mesh water bottle holder on either side of the bag, can be closed using a zipper. I just use them as extra pockets for little things. The third pocket is where all the small items go. It has two red soft material lined pockets. I place my portable hard-drive in one and my blackberry in the other. It does have 2 sleeves for business cards but they don't hold to well, those pockets aren't rigid. It does have a large deep pocket, which is my power supply goes. That area is shares the same space as the 4th and smallest zipper. It has locations for 3 pens or pencils but this is attached to the red interior pocket. I have enough room to place a webcam along without crushing anything, it's pretty roomy. There is a bonus zipper on the lip that takes very small items. I place my USB flash drives, keys, and such. The 4th zipper (bottom horizontal zipper) is the smallest pocket. This pocket shares the same bottom space of the 3rd zipper section. Since I don't have too much room left since my power supply eats up all that space. I use it for USB cables, headphones, etc. It does come with a strap to go across the chest but I removed it. Good thing it is removable without breaking or altering anything.Overall I am very pleased with this bag given all that I can fit into it. I have been able to use each zipper and pouch without a problem. Almost everything from my roller laptop bag I use for business can fit in this backpack. I've used it on a daily basis and it's comfortable. It does have large pads to cushion your back while carrying it. I have not had to deal with rain or snow, so I do not know how it will hold against the weather just yet.

Poor quality
Purchased this backpack in Feb from Amazon. All I used it for was to take a small laptop to work. In 3 to 4 months the stitching that holds the zipper to the main compartment came off and I couldn't close it anymore. I contacted amazon and the customer rep Abbey kept repeating that it was past the 30 day warranty and they couldn't do anything. She asked me to contact Case Logic. I offered to send some pictures that showed the product was defective and not damaged, the response was that's not policy. So now I'm having second thoughts about shopping from Amazon as I have to take this up with Case Logic. I could have purchased it directly from Case Logic and dealt with them and not wasted time....

Not recommended, but not bad for the price.
This Case Logic backpack definitely fits the bill at a decent price as far as cargo space-- I can fit my massive laptop, its massive power supply and loads of extra junk in its many pockets without having to stuff it all in.It's pretty comfortable to wear. I walk 2 miles to work each day and that's pretty demanding of a backpack. The shoulder straps have occasionally cut off circulation to my arms over longer walks, but overall it does a pretty good job.The biggest problem I have with this backpack is its lack of water resistance. If I wanted a waterproof backpack I'd have budgeted twice the price, but this thing's practically a sponge. Sweat from my back soaks right through the bag into the laptop compartment regardless of how heavily or lightly I'm sweating. I've had to get into the habit of packing the laptop lid-side down so the sweat won't seep into the machine, and even then I have to wipe the lid down every time I get to the office and set up my workstation. I don't even want to know what happens when it's drizzling outside.Though it's cheap and the cargo space is good, I can't say I recommend this backpack. My last backpack-- smaller for a much smaller laptop-- was more comfortable, better padded, and I never risked water damage to my computer.

Good for a while
This bag was good for a year or two, but eventually the main zipper started tearing away (plus dangling threads could catch in the zipper). Bag didn't get much abuse, so expected it to last longer.
