If you are used to a scent such as one may have used as a teenager; Lynx or Aqua Di Gio etc then this will probably not be for you. It is reflined, delicate, it grows and develops. A subtle fragrance with a hint of the classic. My every day scent and one I will live with for years to come.

I was given a bottle of Floris JF Cologne by my grandfather on my 18th Birthday in 1966.I visited their premises in the 70’s and was invited to see their Book of Comments and the herbs which were used in the process for well over 100 yrs. I have continued to use Floris JF and introduced a number of friends to their line of Gentleman’s Toiletries. The price has more than doubled, but I remain with it..upon my grandfathers passing I received his Floris Razor, wooden shaving soap dish and Badger shaving brush..I have continued to replenish as items have worn..the Fragrance is like nothing else and certainly enables one to feel privileged to have discovered Floris the exclusive and ultimate essence chosen and worn by the Few in comparison to the High Street selection of the Many..definitely a Heavenly Scent!

This starts off as a fresh lemony cologne with delicate herbal notes. It then warms into a more mellow lavender scent. However, my criticism of it is that it is short lived on the skin and does not develop much

This is a masculine fragrance, with citrus high notes offset by lavender.Middle notes are juniper - reminding me of gin - and pettigrain.Base note is cedarwood. A powerful combination of fresh flower and musky animal.My rating is 6.3 out of 10.

JF begins with a hit of citrus lime, bergamot and lavender. It then quietens down to reveal pettigrain juniper and moss.Its a clean, classy masculine fragrance with lasting notes of cedarwood. A lovely fresh fragrance for day or night.

This super fresh scent was inspired by the Mediterranean heritage of the founder of Floris and it does remind me of the citrus cologne typical of such countries with its lemon, lime and bergamot freshness.However this has a special herbal and woody twist reminiscent of the countryside from the lavender and cypress balanced with cedar and petitgrain woods and the tiniest hint of a summery gin and tonic from the juniper.This calls out to those who love Cool Water and the like with its fresh clean masculine simplicity but is a beautifully layered scent that shows the delicate expertise of its creator especially when dried to its cedar and cypress tones. Lovely.
