80A ESC 3-6S Electric Speed Controller 5v/6v/7.4v 5A BEC with XT60 & 3.5mm Bullet Plugs for RC Drone Airplane Brushless Motors

I love this speed controller is a beauty, and it works very good, I use it for my rc electric airplanes

I'm using this controller for with a D3548 brushless motor driving an 11inch x 5.5in prop. It's being used in the default mode so I really can't comment on any other mode. The motor draws approx. 30amps (over 300W) and running it at full power for 7 minutes barely warms the controller. Since I'm using it on an airboat it would be nice if the controller was waterproof. The way I have it mounted I've sealed the top end with some silicone caulking to prevent any water from entering but left the lower side (with capacitors and switch) open for any potential water drainage. It's pretty much splashproof. Since the capacitors are only attached via their leads I also used a small amount of silicone caulk to stabilize them so that the leads wouldn't fail from vibration. I think the manufacturer might do this routinely.

Not overly happy with this product. I bought 2 got a twin engine jet and had issues from the start. I put each in different planes later and issue was on going. Price was right but not the esc

Has performed flawlessly thus far, albeit only consisting of two run-ups and a short test flight.

my motor and prop tested max 60 amps. at the end of the flight i heard a large pop just after landing. smoke and fire. saved the plane and my 6s lipo pack. lots of burn damage to the fuse. I kept the esc and have pictures. I have never seen any esc blow up like this before. Safety hazard do not buy.
