One of the Few Travel Pillows That Actually Improved My Sleep on Long-Haul Flights
After years of trying different travel pillows on long-haul flights, the Travelrest 4-in-1 has been one of the few that genuinely improved my ability to sleep comfortably in economy class. What makes it different for me is that it supports more than just the neck. It helps stabilise the upper body as well, which significantly reduces the constant repositioning and head movement that normally wakes me up during flights.Iโve found it especially useful in aisle seats where thereโs no aircraft wall to lean against. Combined with a good sleep mask and noise-cancelling headphones, it creates a far more stable and comfortable sleep setup overall.Another thing I appreciate is that it packs down relatively compactly compared to many traditional travel pillows. Iโve now used mine regularly for years across long-haul flights, airport waits, and overnight layovers, and it has become a permanent part of my travel setup.Itโs not a magic solution โ economy class is still economy class โ but for me it made overnight flights significantly more manageable and helped turn travel from something to endure into something much easier to move through comfortably.

Best travel pillow I've tried.
Of all the travel cushions that I've tried (see below) this provided the best comfort on a long-haul flight -- much better than anything else. It is also the most portable, since it can be deflated and rolled-up. However, there are also some negative points:The seam is quite rough against the skin and therefore it is useful to have something else -- a scarf for example -- to prevent the seam rubbing on the neck.I'd previously reported this item as having developed a leak and deflating rapidly however, at the seller/manufacturer's suggestion I did eventually get around to inflating it and then submersing it in water to see if there were any bubbles. No bubbles were observed, not even when I squeezed it. I'm therefore inclined to accept the seller's suggestion that the apparent deflation was actually caused by a changes in cabin pressure in the aircraft. I suppose temperature changes could also have a similar effect. The other travel cushion things that I've tried, and found to be worse than this grey inflatable thing are:The "J Pillow"The "Embrace sleep collar"

Travelrest provides luxury and comfort all the way
I use the Travelrest pillow along with the additional (separately purchased) luxuriousTravelrest Cover - Luxurious Velour with Memory Foam Inserts. It goes well with the Travelrest - 4-in-1 Premier Class Travel Blanket with Pocket - Covers Shoulders - Soft and Luxurious (travel, sporting events, home, auto) which can provide back support when not used as a blanket. In my most recent coach journey, I used the blanket to support my back and the pillow for my head (I also sprayed a bit of separately purchased Lavender Slumber Spray on the pillow head rest). The result? My bus journey was unlike any other. It is possible to share the pillow by putting it between two seats so that both passengers are able to lean their head against it and snooze comfortably. The pillow is perfect for using on the window side too. So, as the bus makes its way along a bumpy and sometimes jerky route, your head will remain protected from hitting the window, or from drooping forwards. The pillow is usable without the velour cover. However, the deluxe velour cover instantly upgrades the level of luxury to something more. The velour cover was soft enough on its own, however with the addition of the memory foam inserts provided along with it (i.e. with the velour cover), for the first time, I felt as though I was travelling in a different vehicle, or at least, a premium bus seat. The pillow (with and without the cover) is very compact and easily folds and wraps around a suitcase or laptop bag handle. Also, it is possible to wrap the drawstring on the back of a seat, or around one's body, or even to hold on to the stretchable clasp at the bottom of pillow without attaching it to anything. All of this awesomeness only took a mere 6 SECONDS to get ready to use. As soon as I took my seat, I unfolded the pillow from my laptop bag handle and inflated it within seconds. No fiddling about required for inflating or deflating. I will not be without this pillow on any of my future journeys by bus, car, plane. All in all, a highly recommended travel pillow for the casual and more adventurous traveller.

Great idea. Terrible quality
Arrived promptly. Nice red colour with soft coating. Directions take a few minutes to understand, but easy enough and I was up and running in very little time.Comfortable to use and YES it works. Probably, of all the neck pillows for travel that I have used, this one was the second most comfortable. The very absolute best, was a specially contoured memory foam pillow - but that does take up more space. However - and it is a BIG HOWEVER. About 2 hours into a 7 hour flight from St Lucia to London, it developed a leak. I had definitely not mis-treated it in any way and can only assume it was a quality issue. The seams are re heat glued - no more - and with minimal input, it would seem. But those 2 hours gave me some idea that if this was just bad luck, it would be worth trying again. So, undeterred, I purchased a replacement for my next transatlantic flight - an 11 hour night flight from LA to London. This time, things even worse. Removed the little thing from its packaging and the moment I blew in to the valve, the valve flew off. Just a great gaping hole now. Without the valve, of course, not one iota of air can remain.I regret, these incidences were too much for me. Yes, I could have been *really* unlucky twice over - or it could be that these things are great but only for a very short time. Quality on both mine just really poor.My solution: take a little less luggage and make room for my memory foam neck pillow, which is reliable as an old pair of comfy flannel pyjamas. Sleep tight.

Perfect for side sleepers
Just back from the return journey to Australia so have tested this pillow to the max. I am not a fan of u-shaped travel pillows a) because they feel restrictive and b) because I'm a side sleeper so keeping me upright is not helpful. This pillow is easy to blow up. I got the velour version as I wanted the extra comfort and it was a joy. I actually slept well on all my (long) flights and, for the first time, did not arrive tired or sore. I also used it on long car journeys. My daughters thought it looked big but I was comfortable and it folded away easily and to a small size so who cares! I forgot it on one journey and was back to the uncomfortable head-bobbing feeling. Highly recommend.n

Perfect product for long flights.
Unlike usual neck pillows that feel constricting. This product was very comfortable and versatile on a 14 hour flight. Easy to inflate and deflate and takes can fit in a pocket. Looks and feels good quality. Happy with this purchase.

So disappointing :(
So I needed a travel pillow for my imminent trip on several super long hall flights (Nepal, New Zealand, Vietnam). Naturally I went straight to Amazon and the best reviewed items. This travelrest pillow seemed to tick all the boxes - great reviews, clever design, small, and most importantly it was comfortable. Or so I thought. 4 hours into a flight to India I was looking longingly at my girlfriends travel pillow that attached around her neck wishing I had the same, or even wishing I had once of those cheap neck pillows you can pick up from a pound shop! It's a real shame as the company seems nice and they are clearly proud of their innovative design. However it just doesn't work, for the following key reasons;1) it offers no neck support (the woman in the advertising picture should have her chin drooping on her chest)2) you can jam it in place using the string as suggested but it will inevitably come un-jammed as you move trying to get comfortable (even with your arm in place as per the instructions)3) it's just too bulky when in use and a faff to move between shoulders mid-snooze.I dearly hope I am missing something and will try it on another flight in a few days. However I've used it on both buses and planes and so far it has been terrible. I have no idea how it justifies its cost (although not that expensive in the grand scheme of things) and how everyone else gets on with it.My advice would be to think about the most uncomfortable thing about trying to sleep whilst flying. For me this is the inevitable head droop as the neck muscles just want to relax but can't, and the resulting stiff neck and no sleep. Then find a pillow that solves that problem.I for one will be scouring duty free before my flight to NZ for a pillow that works, no matter the cost.

Disappointed
Too big, uncomfortable, and the material is not soft enough.

The best travel pillow for side sleepers
I'm an overzealous researcher and read many reviews on amazon before I decided to purchase this pillow. I fit the profile of somebody who would love the pillow--side sleeper who likes to hold something while sleeping--and boy do I love this pillow.I'm a frequent business traveler, and I sleep like a rock on a plane, but would always end up with the worst neck cramp no matter what kind of pillow I use, until I got this thing. It packs small, fits right on my laptop pack handle, inflates/deflates easily (granted that you often get the "what is this" stare from neighboring passenger, since it's fairly big, and the occasional "OMG that's cool" comment from the flight attendant), and when you wear it like a messenger bag, fits very snugly around your body. I'm 5'1 and the pillow is long, but the length of the strap is adjustable, so it fits me perfectly, and it can accommodate somebody much taller just fine.I noticed a couple major differences--1. I don't have neck cramps after long flights anymore. With the normal travel pillow, I had to shift my head left and right and would still end up with a sore neck. This pillow supports your neck and the entire side of your head, so no more neck cramps.2. Before, I could not fall asleep unless I lean back my seat, as I needed to lean back to take some weight off of my head leaning to the side which causes the neck cramp. That often pisses off the person behind me thus causes them to constantly bump and kick my seat and ruin my sleep. With the support given by this pillow, I sometimes forget to even lean back. I flew from San Francisco to Chicago last week and didn't even know the plane took off when I landed, and I was sitting up straight the whole time.3. I don't care if I sit next to the window anymore. I use to dread not getting the window seat, because I needed the support of the side wall or I can't sleep, but now even if I get the middle seat I can still sleep with plenty of support. One thing to note is that if I don't place the pillow correctly, my arm would fall asleep because I prefer to inflate the pillow really stiff and lean it against my shoulder. I find that comfortable until my arm falls asleep. I noticed that if you inflate the pillow before taking off, after the plane gets to a certain altitude, the cabin pressure change causes the pillow to really stiffen up, which I like as it provides even better support, but I've read a couple of reviews where people prefer it softer--I can imagine having the pillow softer would solve the arm falling asleep issue.Overall, this pillows make the dreadful economy class much more tolerable, and it's a frequent traveler must have.
