Really useful and robust tool
This is a really robust and useful tool for pruning trees which would normally require professional help. Relatively expensive (you need the long pole as well) but a lot cheaper than getting someone in to do it. Limited as expected by branch size but able to do most pruning tasks. Quite heavy to move around but I'm over 60 and it wasn't really a problem.

Fantastically Useful Tool
I've been gardening for 40 years and this lopper, used with the Wolf 4m pole is a fantastically useful tool. Jobs which required ladders and sometimes dangerous over-reaching suddenly become much simpler and so more enjoyable. Seems strong and robust and the pulley system makes the cutting very easy - although this depends of course on the type of wood you are cutting and whether it is dead or alive. I don't find it heavy although some other reviewers have. The cord tidy thingy that you can attach to the bottom of the pole would make the tool even easier to use I imagine as without it you are forever adjusting the length of the cord as you change the length of the adjustable pole. I wish I'd had this tool years ago. Brilliant, but useless without the handle to put it on! There is a similar product on the market by Darlac which has a 5 metre pole available and a hooked end to the cutter which could be useful for catching hold of branches. I've not any experience of it but you might want to compare the two before you buy either.P.S. If you are using one of these, remember it and the pole is all metal construction so keep it away from power lines.

Very good.
I have already purchased the pole saw and was so pleased with it that I got the secateurs as well. They are nice and sharp and are great for snipping off the thinner branches and “twiggy bits” when pruning trees. Obviously, the longer the pole is extended the trickier it is to get them in position but as a five foot tall, seventy year old lady gardener, I found them relatively easy to use. It has saved me a fortune on tree surgeons.

Sharp, precise and consistent!
A pleasure to use - sharp and easy to wield even at the far reaches of an extended pole. The challenge is to restrict your pruning to what you originally planned rather than cause devastation through the undisciplined but satisfying continued use of a quality tool. I had researched the feedback from the numerous similar tools and concluded that in a market of so many, there was likely to be safety in paying a little more. In my view this was a sound strategy and I am very pleased with my purchase and will look seriously at other tools from this manufacturer.

Solved a particular trimming problem for me
Very well made. Cuts well. It took me a while to see how the cord locks to the pull-handle at whatever position you want and sometimes it locks a little bit too well for my (mildly arthritic) hands. At the end of a four metre pole it works well but if at much of an angle is rather heavy, I would have thought it could have been made a little lighter without weakening it too much. So a couple of branches then a short rest is my cycle. But I am 85.The great thing is it allows me to consider the shape as I trim and thin, one small branch at a time. I use it in conjunction with the saw head.I haven't yet used it on a shorter pole, but it would probably be much easier.

Excellent price and really quick delivery
Excellent price and really quick delivery. This is a quality heavy duty tool. I chucked it into the deep end with some fearsome laurel pruning and it works very well. Max dia. of branch it can handle is about 38mm. If you have the handle at full reach (in my case 3 metres) then, yes, it is heavy to handle, after all that's one big lever. It can be a bit cumbersome when used in heavily branched areas but overall it is a very good tool that I would not want to be without.

Good tool, but weak point.
The spring seems to be a weak point, it has already stretched despite normal use. Good it has a 10 year warranty.

Great product shame about delivery
Great quality product as with all Wolf Garten items I have tried, and easy to use.Very unhappy with the delivery from Amazon as the parcel was left in my front garden, part pushed under a bush but still very visible from the pavement. Very lucky not to have been stolen as a totally unsuitable place to have left it, and especially annoying when I have listed several neighbours who are happy to take in a delivery for me and next door neighbours were in at the time of delivery.
