Excellent Y/A Novel......
I really truly enjoyed this book, I adore the magical story of creepy hollow. This is a brilliant series! This book had me hooked from the first page, it's a steady paced story & a fast page turner. We have Action, Excitement, Romance with Twists and Turns.Book 4 is set 10 years later after the events of book 3.I thought with Violet being such a strong solid character, that bringing Calla into Book 4 as the main character, it wasn't going to be as good as the previous books, but Rachel Morgan has exceeded expectations as usual and bought to us another brilliant captivating read!A faerie's Secret Book4 is based on calla Instead of Ryn and Violet... and I tell you it's just as good. Calla is all grown up now, she is such a strong sassy full of life character it's impossible not to like her. She has been training in secret with zed ( who she has a crush on ) until he rejects her "silly boy"! calla is beautiful with golden hair and eye's which is unusual for a faerie. ( this has to mean something somewhere as she has been referred to as the golden women ) i'm hoping there is a hidden meaning there that in book 5 she is going to be this amazing character that saves the world...She also has a griffin ability where she can project what ever she want you to see as reality.I loved the fact that a lough the book has changed from Ryn and violet as the main characters to Calla, Rachel Morgan has kept Ryn and Violet very much apart of this book, for me that made it even more special.Ammmm Chase well I think i'm swooning here!!! He's an amazing character that brings sexyness and a level of mystery, hidden secrets and of course romance! And what a cliff hanger.!!!! Book 5 here I come!!

A Faerie's Secret
An engaging continuation of the Creepy Hollow series. I got just as drawn in to Calla's storyline as I did Violet's. A twist at the end of this book that had me wanting the next book straight away!

This series just gets better and better. Violet, Ryn and Nate are great main characters and the surrounding characters are all well written and have their own place. Rachel Morgan is a great writer.

Interesting read. Reasonably well done.
I downloaded this book purely on a last second whim. Quite frankly I just happened to like the book cover art and the title. Seemingly a dumb reason, but I did say whim. Now I'm not a big fan of fantasy novels, but once into this particular one I surprisingly liked it. Calla seems a bit of an extrovert/introvert but is very likable as the lead femme fatale, albeit a faerie. Her abilities fit her attitude, but when they're taken from her (mostly), she does bounce back, and, with help, starts on the road to recovery. Since this is just one of a continuing book series centered on her, this story naturally ends with a number of balls still in the air to be picked and resolved in the following book. In effect each book is not exactly a stand alone tome. I personally don't have the interest to get further involved with the series, but I did get a kick out of this particular story.

A Cliffhanger That Will Leave You In Shock!
I don't even know where to begin with this book because it was simply such an amazing read! Fast-paced, fun, and filled to the brim with exciting adventures, I never wanted this book to end. It was so nice to be back in Creepy Hollow, seeing old favorites return, and (kind of) new characters finding a new place in my heart. It's not secret that I love this series, and Ms. Morgan does a fantastic job at bridging the original series with this installment. While you don't necessarily have to read the first 3 novels in the series, you will be greatly missing out if you don't! You feel a much stronger connection to the story, and you understand what went on 10 years ago as this was what the first 3 books were about. Nevertheless, you will not be confused if you decided to start with this novel, as Ms. Morgan writes the story with a great clarity and brilliance. You will instantly be transported to Creepy Hollow, feeling like you are right there along with the characters going through the Faerie Paths, and taking part in the Fishbowl. This story follows Calla, Ryn's sister. She's all grown up, and has a major secret that she is keeping from everyone. For if anyone finds out about this secret, well let's just say it won't be good for anyone involved. She has very few people she can trust, and she quickly realizes that some of those people she might not be who she thought they were to begin with. Everyone has secrets, and some will do anything to keep those secrets quiet. This is extremely important to remember while reading this book (and you'll see why after you finish reading). I loved Calla as a lead character. In fact, she was just as great as Vi! Calla's feisty and fierce, and does what she wants. I loved her spunk, and even when everything was against her, she never gives up. And then there's Chase. Calla meets him in an unexpected place, and from there the mystery deepens. Calla can't get a read on him, and she certainly can't figure out why he's keeping his past so secret. But oooh boy, when Calla (and the reader) finds out...let's just say you will NOT believe what you just read. Chase was such an intriguing character, and I loved the balance he provided for Calla. They work so well together as a team, and I'm very interested to see what the next book has in store for them.So that moment I was talking about before where there's this big revelation in regards to Chase...that's how the book ends. Suffice to say, it's a MAJOR CLIFFHANGER! This is the mother of all cliffhangers people, and you're jaw will drop. Ms. Morgan certainly knows how to craft a shocking moment, and I applaud her for being able to render me speechless with one single word.If you are a fan of this series, this is a must read! You don't want to miss out on the exciting adventures of Calla, as well as seeing your favorite characters and learning what they've been up to in the past 10 years. I can't wait for the next book, A Faerie's Revenge, and I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait! Don't miss out of this one, or you'll regret it!Happy reading :)

Omg, say what???!!!
Wtf happened????!!!! OMG, OMG!!!! WHAT A GREAT STORY WITH CALLA. I swear, I was thinking just another cute adventurous story but I truly love the ending. Such a great cliffhanger!!!! Secrets revealed, possible love for another, and so on! This just gets better and better! The story with the audio is such a bonus, too! Once again, I couldn’t stop reading/listening to it. I am so happy that Rachel Morgan managed to create the characters with so much different personalities/ a big difference from one another. I am so happy the background characters, that we all love, are, Ryn, Vi, & Tilly and often in there. I truly like Calla a lot! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

A Nice Start to Calla's Story & the Twist to End All Twists!
3.5 StarsSo... was I the only one who thought the Creepy Hollow series was over? I was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn't though and of course couldn't resist continuing. The thing is, now the series is about a teenage Calla, Ryn's little sister, and I had a hard time adjusting to her. Being so desperate to fit in with the "mean girl" that she was willing to break into someone's house as some sort of initiation did nothing to endear her to me. I just can't relate to characters like that. However, she was pretty spunky, I'll give her that, and she earned some points near the end of the book with her determination and willpower to keep fighting even when everything seemed hopeless. So I can see myself liking her more, I just need to get to know her better. (Update: She did get a lot more mature and likeable as the series went on!)Chase, the love interest, however, was someone I took a liking to right away, with his clever and amusing yet also sincere personality. He was kind of a tortured hero (which I love because I'm cliche like that) but with less brooding. And "cool, tattooed vigilante faerie" is definitely the best character description ever :-PI also enjoyed that Ryn and Violet had a good presence in the book, but not an overbearing one since it wasn't their story. As for the plot, the writing, and everything else, it kept my attention and kept me guessing, but that ending was the twist to end all twists! WHAT?! I should have remembered Rachel Morgan's crazy twist skills from her other books.Overall, this wasn't my favorite book in the series, but I still look forward to the next book and seeing how things pan out for Calla, Chase, and the whole faery realm!Original Review @ Metaphors and Moonlight (link in profile)

Not Your Spun Sugar Tinkerbell Kind of Faeries! It's Enchanting!
I'm in Love with this Series! I saw the 1st book in "The Creepy Hollow Series" in the grocery store, opened it & began reading & I haven't stopped reading! I love the characters, including some of the bad guys & the very special World that Rachel Morgan has shown us. Faeries aren't just the spun sugar version in this series. Their World is a place where all sorts of magical beings exist & it intersects our own World. The story begins with the Faerie Guardians, a special forces group that begins training to protect both our World & the World of the Fae from some seriously bad forces. They're kick-ass Faeries that undergoes grueling training both physically & mentally to defeat dark forces. They start training young & competitively at schools all around the world. As young men & women, they are also learning about life & love & where true friendship & loyalty exist side by side. I'm enjoying reading about it so much that I have to go back to it right now! I'm also looking forward to Book 7 which will be out in May. This series is acceptable for both young readers & the young at heart.
