Hairstyles

This is a brilliant reference book! If your looking for setting patterns and a 'how to' this is not for you! It is however excellent at showing the progression of hairstyles from the past to present. Ive even done a few 1750s styles from it, just by working back. An excellent reference book. I wasn't looking for a how to book, there's plenty of those about!

My 19 year old granddaughter who's at university studying Theatrical hairstyles and make-up is delighted with this book. Great for reference.

I bought a copy of this book for reference and was not disappointed. It's all about women's styles but is a lovely book in itself, full of drawn images for the earlier periods and lots of photos for the later periods.

Bought as gift

Fabulous book for anyone interested in hairstyling. This was recommended to my daughter by an Oscar Winning make-up artist, need I say more!

Would happily recommend this book to any hairdressers out there for ideas & inspiration and simply to admire the beauty of these hairstyles

Brilliant ! Just brilliant .

This looks really good, perhaps an ideal present for my son who has just decided to go into hairdressing. I wonder if it has any men's styles or concentrates on women... Could we have a "Click to look inside" please ? That would be helpful in making a decision over what is an expensive book to invest in.

I give this 5 stars because the hairdresser for whom I purchases it, just gushed when she saw it. It goes back to hairstyles in antiquity up to the modern era. She said she has loved looking through it.

J'avais commandé le livre pour une amie qui est coiffeuse et le livre s'avère être en anglais alors que dans les détails : Langue --> Français.Je pensais que le mot [Anglais] dans le titre signifié qu'il venait de Royaume-Uni mais apparemment cela signifie qu'il est en Anglais. Donc un peu décu mais l'intéressé semble ravie quand même. En tout cas c'est un très beau livre, très bien illustré. Je recommande pour les bilingues ;)
