I rarely write Amazon reviews unless something is really good or really bad. This is a terrific lamp for the money; I paid just over $50. It is very fashionable and functional. It was very easy to put together, and the three different lighting dim levels are perfect. Nice finish. Of course, It remains to be seen how long the bulb lasts.

Honestly some of the reviews seemed a little over the top in terms of enthusiasm, but yes, this lamp is that awesome. I was considering either the silver or the gold, decided on the gold and am glad I did. It's a very subtle, brushed gold, not at all bright or brassy. Love that the bulb has 3 levels of brightness (controlled by tapping the top of the lamp). The pole is in three parts that screw together, but it's not noticeable at all since it's in a back corner of the room. It also stands upright (no leaning) and is very stable. I buy a lot from amazon, and this is definitely among my top purchases. Great lamp.

We did a temporary fix to a condo until we start the full renovation. We needed a functional task lamp that did not take up much visual or floor space and take away from the lake views. These checked off all the boxes.One tap control on the top of the stem. Went together easily. Great for task lighting, Perfect color brass. Would very much order again. Highly recommended. Even after the renovation- these are staying!

I like this lamp a lot, works great, nice and bright for reading. I have mine setup in the bedroom for nighttime reading, and would like to mention 2 annoyances, which keeps me from giving 5 stars.1) There is a small dim light where the power switch is, obviously so it can been seen in the dark. But in a bedroom, even that dim light casts enough light in the room to be annoying. I need to put a small towel over it at night.2) If there is a power outage, even for a moment (this happens frequently where I am), the light comes back on at full brightness, even if it was turned off. This is certainly annoying at night, but if you're away on vacation perhaps and have an outage, the lamp will be on full brightness when you return.Other than that, great light... I may not recommend it for bedrooms though.

High quality design, build, and finish. Works 1000 times better than my older flourescent floor lamp for reading at night, especially because the shade is shaped to shield your eyes from the bright "bulb". Easy to assemble and operate. Very solid and steady on my wood floor.If you buy the bundle (with the desk lamp) label the power supplies, because they look the same but are differrent voltages, so you want to be careful whenever you're moving them to another room or something.

I love this lamp. we got it as task light for crocheting etc while we watch tv on the couch. It's bright enough, but also a warm enough light to not be that kind of LED light that makes you feel like you're in a hospital theater. And you can direct the light so it doesn't annoy your couch mate. 100% would buy again.

Mixes with many decor styles. Easy to assemble. Am thinking of getting a second one for another room

I can't tell you how much we love this lamp! It is the perfect reading light next to my husband's recliner. He so often remarks how great it is, especially at that price point. We tried others an nothing came close to the sleek style and finish of this one. Highly recommend!!!

This is the perfect reading lamp! It has three brightness settings and is easily turned on and off with a light tap at the top of the lamp. It is elegant, takes up little space and is perfect for reading. We love it! I will be buying another one for another area of the house.

I suffer from poor vision and need to have a good backlight for reading, something that I can position directly overhead but without being intrusive. This fits the bill.Only downside it that it comes with a U.S. 2 pin plug, I had to find an adaptor, after that 'magic'. Delighted.
