I mainly bought the boom mat headliner because I recently bought a hardtop tj and I live in the desert where temps can reach the 120s. Even though it's stll January I can already tell a big difference in direct sun on a 60 plus degree day. Also made a huge difference in the acoustics of the jeep, it's so much quieter now even the radio sounds better. I was initially kind of worried that the grey would not match well with the factory Khaki color interior and there weren't alot of good pics on the internet to give a good idea what the actual color looked like up close. After installing it though I think the boom mat color compliments the factory interior just fine.

Easy install, great adhesion, dampens the road noise and keeps the cabin temperature cool/heated consistently well. I have a 2010 Wrangler 4dr., and this is one of the best upgrades you can do to your ride. Other raters indicate you have to remove the hard top, not true, just remove the center sound bar and it will fit like a glove.

Following the instructions, I noticed that Rachel (who packed my package with pride) was a bit too proud and forgot to include two insulating foam pieces for the rear of the hardtop. The installed product looks nice and gives the hardtop a more finished look. Music definitely has a bit more boom to it and I can feel a that the jeep stays a little cooler after leaving the jeep out in the sun for a while. For nearly $400 I was expecting a bit more quality wise as someone with a steady hand can reproduce this for a fraction of the cost. Overall I am pleased with the look of the product, but the low score mostly comes from the quality to price and because Rachel had forgotten to pack some pricey foam after proudly packing it all away.

This also fits a YJ just fine. I cut the curved ears off the piece where it meets in the back because it's not needed, but other than that, it fits just fine. I used a piece of the filler strips intended for a TJ and trimmed it to fit in between the two thick 1" pieces, just so there wasn't a blank spot above the speaker sound bar. I can't comment on how well it dampens sound because the jeep originally came with a soft top. I ripped all of that off and put an old used hardtop on that I refurbished. My main objective with the headliner was to reduce any radiant heat that would come off the top, even though I painted it light gray. I really don't know why anyone would want a soft top anything, especially in the south where we get 100+ temps for over 3 months. Anyways, it works well with keeping the radiant heat off my head and it feels like the ac is more effective. I'm sure it's deadening the sound too, but I wouldn't know. The soft tops are loud and flop around all the time and it's now much quieter with the hard top on.
