So, first - yes, the directions are somewhat confusing. Just know: All the metal tubes with foam go on the top. And then, the 2 ends both get nets and you have to put the nets on before you complete the assembly.I think the size is good, it's a bit large for our family room, but we'll work around it. Anything smaller, I don't think my grandson would like.The one thing that is a big negative: is that the mat is too big. Someone really needs to fix that. Now, I'm going to have to go to another expense to buy a mat of some sort that fits. OR, I'll cut this one down. It could stand to be a little thicker too.This is the 2nd play yard we've bought - the first was way too big (guess I should have measured), but the mat was nice and thick.

Got almost completely done putting this up then realized it was delivered torn beyond repair at a seam. The instructions are extremely confusing and the video on YouTube isn't much better. Sending back and getting a refund.EDIT: the company selling this playpen were so kind as to contact us and ship us a new one due to the tear. We are both pleased and surprised at their level of concern. We received a new one a few days later and this one was much better than what was sent originally. I will say the instructions should be more clear but since we put the last one up this second go around was much easier to put together. The baby will certainly enjoy it in the years to come.

So the item itself is great and all. Putting it together was a figure it out yourself pretty much. The instructions that came in the pamphlet were super vague. And then was like but watch this video if you need more help. Like can't you just wrote the directions down. I'm a parent. My phone is not on me. The nets sucked. We had to zip tie them. Other than that I like it.

My biggest problem with it is I don’t understand why they would make the mat so much bigger than the play pen. Now nothing can sit flat because the mat is way too big. It was also difficult to assemble with terrible directions I still don’t understand how to make the soccer nets stay.

When not in use, I can quickly close off the soccer area. And the inclusion of a storage bag and travel bag makes it incredibly convenient for transport or storage.
