Analog Stick with PCB Board for Nintendo Wii U GamePad Controller Left Right Set With Joy Stick Cap

I purchased these as replacements for our Wii U controller. An easy plug and play fix for the ones that had worn out. Didn't take long to install and we were up and running without issue. Perfect. Super easy to install and it works great. Apparently, most Wii U gamepads are suffering from a manufacturing defect that causes the left analog stick to get stuck and "scroll" unintendedly. If you value using your Wii U gamepad and don't want to spend $80-$120 dollars for Nintendo to fix it. I highly recommend buying this!

My problem was with the left analogue stick on my game pad. For some games, like Zelda, this is the control that allows you to walk or move Link around. For other games like Mario Kart it is the control that allows you to steer. My problem was that when I released the stick it was slow to return to center, so Link would keep walking, though more slowly than before I released, for at least a few more steps before coming to a stop, and I could not stand in a specific place because of the over walking problem. For Mario Kart, I could not go strait. I was always turning to some degree or another. Menu selection was almost impossible, and I had to use either the d-pad or the touch screen, as the analogue stick would float past the selection I wanted, and stop an a different option.I tried cleaning the controller as recommended by Nintendo. This had little benefit, and only for a short time. I also confirmed that it was not that the controller needed to be reset, as it did eventually center, just not quickly like it did when it was new.So, I ordered this Analogue Stick with PCB Board along with some triwing screw drivers. It took me less than 15 minutes to open up and make the change. I only changed the defective left analogue stick, so if the right breaks on my later I'll still have that part. If you want to know how to replace the part, there are video tutorials on youtube. Look for them and learn how to do it. As you open it, be sure to keep track of everything that you take apart so that you can put it together in the same way. The trickiest part for me was the volume slider. I did not remove it intentionally, and when I moved the controller it fell out and almost became lost. I had to try several orientations before I fit it in correctly in a way that connected properly.After I put everything back together I tried it out and it worked like it was new again. It responds quickly and snaps back to center when I release it. Menu selection and in game controls work as they used to. My whole family has been enjoying gaming again, for the past two weeks.

Bought these from the seller Teslatronic with Amazon Prime shipping. I used an iFixit guide to do the replacement. The sticks came as advertised, with replacement black control knobs. I'm knocking off one star because one of the analog stick PCB boards had the wrong cable attached to it, the plug would not insert into the board on the PCB. However, the fix was easy, I just pulled the cable off the old stick, and installed it on the new one. After that installation went smoothly, and my Wii U Gamepad is working great once more!

these are basically the analog sticks on the wii u gamepad. there are that good. once you replace them on your pad, you won't be able to tell the difference between your old ones and these. and on top of that, they are easy to replace on the gamepad. it's a matter of unscrewing the gamepad and unclip the connector to the sticks connected to the pad and replacing them with these. it's that easy. if your analog sticks are the only parts that is needed to replace on your pad, i suggest you buy these and replace it yourself, instead of sending it to nintendo (considering that they just discontinued the production on the wii u this February) i also sugget getting some triwing y tip screwdrivers for the job at hand. they are cheap. i bought some for 8 bucks. well worth for anyone who has to disassemble anything made by nintendo

My kids destroyed the original sticks, and I got these to replace them. Surprisingly easy to install, although you do need to purchase a Tri-wing screw driver to get the gamepad apart. Both joysticks work again like brand new. Highly recommend. Repair note: make sure you clean the D-pad contacts with isopropyl alcohol while this baby is apart, and clean out around the joysticks. It was disgusting how much sticky grime got worked inside.

I am giving it 2 stars because the items arrived in packaging that looked like it was out in the sun for a year and there was 3 sticker labels on top of each other on the plastic bag they came in. The controllers stuck as well. I thought these controllers were supposed to come back to center without sticking. I sent them back. I might try to order another set because these do come with everything you need.

I installed this in my Wii U and it worked as well as a new original control stick. The new connection wires (white ones) supplied with the sticks seemed a little loose in their sockets, so I just re-used the old ones. My biggest gripe is that this ships directly from China and has a huge lead time with limited tracking information available. As far as I can tell this wasn't disclosed anywhere on the item's description page and I was disappointed to only find this out after I had ordered (and I probably would have looked for a different seller if I had known).

Got exactly what I needed to fix my Wii U's gamepad. Most beneficially, when I ordered this it was only the left joystick that needed replacing. The convenience of getting both joysticks was definitely worth it, as not long after replacing the bad one the opposite side started acting up also! Good thing I had both.Swapping it out was a breeze and it's worked perfectly since.

Easy to install. Works really well! Before we couldn't play any games on the Wii U that needed to use the analog sticks. Now, it works great and we can play all our favorite games again!

The little Joystick Replacements shipped out and arrived on time.They are packaged in little tiny plastic bag.It's very easy to replace the joysticks.Only other thing needed beside the replacement joysticks is the Y screwdriver.The replacements looks exactly like the OEM ones they replaced.After installing they worked as they should.

The joysticks do work, but I got two left sticks and NOT a left and right set as described in the listing. Also, one of them is very obviously used with a worn rubber cap and pet hair stuck inside the joystick. Fortunately, the left stick is the one that I needed so I won't bother with an RMA at this time, but I was disappointed to not get what I ordered as I'll probably need a right stick at some time in the near future.

Following online instructions, we used this to repair an analog stick that had gone bad. Easy to do, and works like a charm. SO much better than paying the stupid high price Nintendo has for them to fix it. Saved us a bunch of $$$. Thank you!

One of the two joysticks was faulty. There is no option to return only the faulty part. I'd have been super happy to just get half a refund and send only the faulty part back since I only needed to replace one of my old joysticks. (I was originally going to replace both but I'm not wanting to continue not having a working Wii U just to wait for a replacement.)

Easy fix for the dreaded drifting toggle switch on my son's wiiU. We had tried all the cleaning methods and were really dreading the price of having it fixed.Opening up the wii U was easy using the video on the Nintendo website and it was really easy switching out the keys. Everything has been working perfectly for weeks now and we are very happy.
