This thing looks so good! It's a perfect replica of what you would think of as a neon light. Forget the electroluminescent lights you see for sale on here, they're super dim and just garbage (I bought one, I know, and they're all made by the same company). This thing is very bright and I love it.I couldn't decide on a color so I got the RGB one and it's so worth it, spend the extra 10-15%, this ensures you will have a color you like! Although I will say the pictures here on Amazon are pretty accurate representations of what this looks like in person so if you're very confident, I guess get that one specific color, but the RGB one is so much fun. E.g. I didn't think I'd like hot pink but as of right now, it's my favorite and I feel like I'm in Miami. It's amazing!POWER USAGE!I saw a few people asking about power usage and I didn't see any good answers so I plugged this into a kill-a-watt to find out. The power adapter says 750W on it so even though this is LED powered, that made me pretty nervous about power usage. I thought, well gee, maybe that's possible considering this is 60 LEDs/meter and I got the 20 meter (66ft) version, that's 1200 LEDs it has to power (and it's bright as hell). Even though I dearly love the way it looks, if it consumed that much power it would not be worth it!I'm happy to report power usage is very reasonable! At max brightness, the range of power usage is 70W - 210W depending on the color you choose, BUT, only 3 of the 16 colors are above 120W, and only 1 of those is above 150W and that is the pure white. So most of them are very lower power (<= 120W). Remember too I have the 20M (66ft) version. I imagine most people get 10M at most which would cut the numbers in half.Can't recommend this enough!

I normally refuse to write reviews for Amazon, but this was an exception. The lights themselves are great! The service was even better! Try to avoid unplugging the controller from the light strip! I had problems when I did this. I also tried to upgrade the IR controller to the more current Blue Tooth control by phone, controller, didn't work with this lights. Not sure if just wires that don't match or BT controller was bad, but think the later. It is VERY difficult reconnecting the controller to the light strip and I've done my fair share of electrical work. That being said, the seller is extremely helpful and helped me resolve all problems with their product! When the lights got to working, everyone comments on how nice it looks! This does multiple color combinations. I'd give seller a 10 out of 5 if I could.

I've bought two of these, one several years ago (all white, closet installation) and one recent (RGB, home theater lighting). They work, but it goes easier if you know how to avoid the problems inherent with the product.Pros:Very continuous color, truly like neon. There is a slight dim spot (hardly noticeable) at the cut marks. I don't think they could avoid this, unless they removed the ability to cut it...Very Bright!Good options.Cons:All lights are always the same color, so no traveling lights or traveling rainbow. (NOT individually addressed)No way to buy an upgraded wifi controller for smarthome integration.The SMELL! When you buy this, try and do so a month in advance and when you get it (open it, remove all the packaging and take it off the spool) and leave it in your garage to air out. Also, if you can, leave it as straight as possible to relax the twist.The mounting is a royal PITA. The included screws are terrible. I've used several bit styles and sizes, and they are closest to a Philips 2, but so poorly made, some don't have proper points, and all feel like a stripped screw. They are non-ferrous so impossible to position in the deep recess. They are also short, so they will not bite into anything beyond your drywall. Buy better screws. Here's my recommendation: #4 x 1-1/2"n Stainless Flat Head Phillips Wood Screw, (100 pc), 18-8 (304) Stainless Steel Screw by Bolt (if you can find similar with a hex head, it'd be even better). You WILL NOT find screws of this size in large quantities at local hardware stores. Also, buy a MAGNETIC screw bit with at least a 1" rounded shaft. The space is very narrow. You cannot even fit the smallest extension shaft. Here's a recommendation: Rocaris 16 Pack 1/4 Inch Hex Shank Long Magnetic Screwdriver Bits Set 4 Slotted Cross Hex Harb.or Frei.ght also has a set if that's near you. If you don't mind damaging (severely) what you're attaching it to, you can use something like liquid nails.The direction of the light is the thickest/deepest, so it's very difficult to do anything less than a 4" curve. For example, in the corners of a room with the light facing directly away from the wall.However, there are no better options out there, currently. Unless you are filthy rich, and can afford to spend thousands of dollars for the same length of samsung smart lighting strips.

08/14 update. Lights are still working great. I cut the strip in two and made a hidden splitter connection behind my entertainment stand. Used some IEKOV pins and RGB wiring and crimped them together then pushed the pins into the cut LED strip.-- Such beautiful lights. Very smooth and flowing. Used in my custom baseboard installation in our tv room. Will almost bend 90 degrees. A slight bend around the corners doesn't look bad. Transitions smoothly and quality looks good so far. Clamp will come in handy for the corners. Want to buy another set to do the whole house!

I mounded this 65" light kit using  DELight 20Pcs 39 3/8" x 1/2" Clear PVC Channel Mounting Holder Acc for Flex LED Neon Rope Light 65' Total Length . This kit replaces a previous LED kit installed more than ten years ago in gold that was still working just fine in my deacated home theater room. I updated this room in purple, installing gray laminated flooring, removing custom carpet. This room has an elevated second row seating with ramps. I outlined flooring and ramps.Only changes I would to have liked to see would be a longer power lead to where the rope lighting begins. It is presently too short. Also I find it hard to use the remote from any distance , but since I am just going to leave it on purple (unless to show it off in other colors) not really an issue.
