Excellent Reel
Giving this reel a one or 2 star confuses me.I own Bass Pro, Daiwa Tatula, Shimano Curado DC, and various Lews reels. The Lews by far and away are my favorites.Lews are much smoother, lighter, and I can easily outcast my Shimano DC with them. There really isn't a comparison in my opinion.Look at the reviews for the other Lews reels. They are all 4.5 to 5.Don't hesitate to buy this.

Lipstick on a pig
For 500 dollars this reel feels like garbage. Lews has really gone downhill past few years. Feels like all there reels now are grinding gears and filled with sand. I'm sure it would fish just fine, but for the price not worth it at all.

Overpriced Garbage
With a $500 price tag, you are buying a name. The best Lews reel made. That's it. You will save money and headache by simply scrapping Lews and buying the Shimano DC reel. It's a screamer. Tried & true, if your going to spend the vacay fund on tackle might as well be something that will last and outfish any other reel on the pond. Lews has been declining for years now, like everything out there, same junk, higher prices. Stop! You do t need a Ti. Make the jump over to Shimano, you can thank me later and you will fish like a pro!
