It is a,tool box but i use itti hold my toiletries and personal items. It is spacious, sturdy and not too bulky

Use for storing RC car parts and tools. Nice size for the money

Such a cute toolbox for my son. Very durable and is able to hold quite a bit of tools.

The box is sturdy, with six plastic hinges, a decent quality lockable metal hasp (but only good enough to keep little kids out), and a well-anchored plastic handle. For anyone needing storage for a lot of small tools & dinky parts this should do the job - a good value. UF, I needed something to store a specific tool – my soldering kit. I must have looked at a few dozen different boxes, comparing claimed dimensions against the measured dimensions of my tool, making as good of estimates as I could for wall thickness, usable height of tray and main compartment usable interior dimensions, etc.. This seemed to fit the bill. But the manufacturer’s claimed dimensions of 14 x 8-1/8 x 8-1/8 are optimistic to say the least. The sides and top have ribbing and indents, presumably to increase stiffness but seriously decreasing usable interior volume; the handle rests in its own recess in the top, good if you need to stack anything on it, not so good if you need to maximize available volume for the top tray. For those needing a box that will carry a specific small tool kit, these are the usable interior dimensions: 12-3/16” l. x 5-3/4”w. x 5-11/16” h. (total height). Trays are generally for very small parts but I’ll provide the interior dimensions anyway: 12-11/16” l. x 5 9/16” w. x 2”h., with about 2-9/16” to the handle recess. Deducting for the tray there is 3-3/8” usable height in the main compartment. Hope this helps someone; back to the research grind for me.

I don’t think this would be sturdy enough for very heavy tools but would be ok for a set of smaller household tools. I bought the red to hold a set of first aid supplies for my daughter’s first home.

Overall, it's a reasonable small toolbox. Plenty of capacity, seems well built. Akro-Mills tends to build solid stuff. Don't know how durable this will turn out to be, but the latch is metal, not plastic, and I fond no "living hinges", so it bodes well for durability. That's the good stuff out of the way. I wanted a toolbox with a tray, for the little stuff that doesn't need to rattle around in the bottom with the heavier tools. This is one of the few smaller toolboxes I could find, with a removable tray...which, unfortunately, has a large hole in its center. Now, I understand why that hole has to be there...it's a consequence of the molding process they used to make it. That is a reason, but not an excuse, for this abysmally poor design. As I expected, the slight lip around the hole in the tray does not prevent objects in it from falling down into the main tool box at the slightest jolt. After a day of this, I glued up a better tray, without a hole in the middle, out of 1/4" plywood. It took me an hour, cost me nothing, because I used a small scrap I had on hand, and it works far better than Akro-Mills' abysmal attempt. I would encourage Akro-Mills to redesign that tray. Because it's pretty useless as storage for smaller items as it is. Other than that, this is a great toolbox for the price.

This tool box is decent quality for a basic plastic tool container and the cost is low. It’s made in USA, got it for overflow and less used tools.
