Worked perfectly with a mixer from 1990s. Connected to a smart TV. No static or humming.

So I have an older Philips home theater system from 2007, that still works great. Don't want to upgrade. However, I got a new TV, and still wanted to use the old theater setup. I really didn't think this product was going to work, I had thought I was going to have to try another 10 different things in order to get it to work with the new TV. But ! This was the most simple plug and play setup you can buy! As soon as I plugged everything in, all I had to do was switch the output on the TV settings, and that was it! Simple simple simple. Definitely worth the money.

It’s a pretty good buy, there isn’t hardly any delay and has good sound quality but the problen with it is you can’t control the volume with the normal tv remote which sucks so that’s why I returned it and went with one that is hdmi(ARC) to rca so then I can control the volume with the actual tv remote. But if you don’t care about that it’s a pretty good buy, sounds good, the cables, long enough, and it uses a USBA power so you can just plug it into the spot on the TV and not have to worry about another power brick taking up another slot on your power strip.

I have the Sonos connect gen 2 for providing signal to house speakers and pool speakers via an amplifier. The amp does not have optical audio ins, only RCA (white and red). The RCA out on the Sonos connects failed, which they are known to do, rending the unit obsolete to connect RCA cables to a stereo or in this case an amplifier that pushes power to house and pool speakers. I purchased these to convert the optical audio out on the Sonos connect to red and white channel cables to connect to the amp. Please be aware that this product does not come with a power plug and you will need to connect to the USB power cable or plug into a surge protector that has usb 2.1 or 3 female receptical. The product worked perfectly and instead of buying new Sonos connect S2 (2 of them as first one failed a year ago), I was able to get the system up and running again using the optical audio out converted to RCA. Also please note that the PCM setting was fine on my application as I was not trying to carry 5.1 stereo or AC3 that may come from a TV optical audio out. If you are trying to get these audio features from a TV to a receiver or stereo, the seller clearly states it is incompatible. Not an issue for most applications IMHO.

Cable worked great. I was able to hook up my media with tv.

I needed this cord for a DJ gig - had to connect the RCA to my DDJFLX4 and the optical part to the venue's converter - and it worked great.

Der Konverter erfüllt genau das, was er verspricht. Meine alte 5.1 Anlage ließ sich problemlos mit dem neuen TV verbinden und funktioniert jetzt wieder einwandfrei. Die Montage war sehr einfach: anschließen, einschalten, fertig. Keine komplizierten Einstellungen notwendig. Tonqualität ist klar und ohne Störgeräusche. Perfekte Lösung, um ältere Soundanlagen weiter nutzen zu können. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
