Mueller Soccer Ankle Brace

I bought this after I fractured my ankle playing indoor soccer after my foot had healed. I have a history of weak ankles. I like it compared to other braces because it fits in my soccer shoe and does not limit my foot movement as severely as some of the others. Other braces I have tried made me feel like I had lost the feel for the ball, but these were much better. I liked it so much I just bought a second one for my other foot for match play. I also recently took a mean slide tackle to both ankles, and felt like the foot with the brace on it fared better than the one without, so it works well as an ankle protector as well. The only down side for me is that the laces look kind of bulky on the front of the brace, and there's not really a good way to hide them.12/8/2013 Update:My original brace is going strong, but the second brace that I bought was quite a bit different than the one I bought in 2011. The laces were thinner, which I appreciated, but were WAY too long and I had to wrap them around my leg several times so they wouldn't dangle all over the place. The durability of the brace is also significantly reduced, as the company now appears to be using a thinner material. The new material is great for feel on the ball, but they are coming apart at the lace eyelets after just a few games. Metal eyelets and 20% shorter laces would go a long way to improving this product. It's probably still one of the best options out there for soccer use, but I lowered my rating from a 4 to 3 because of the durability.I'm going to give this other brace a try since it has metal eyelets... I sprained my ankle playing indoor soccer and it just never fully healed. I felt like each week I'd get close to 100% and then I'd just reaggrivate the injury each week. I bought this brace and haven't had a problem since. I love the support it gives me and it's definitely keeping my ankle safe. I highly recommend it for soccer. It doesn't get in the way of cleats or anything like that.

This ankle brace helped me without it I would not be able to run or warm up even in soccer games

Just picked this up after my old one broke. This newer model doesn't feel quite as sturdy but it is much more comfortable and easier to get on and off. Fit great in my soccer shoes as well. Go for it.

I have a lateral ankle sprain and this brace works perfectly. I still play at a high level multiple times a week and this brace has literally eliminated my problem. It fits perfectly and does not limit me at all. Excellent product.

The ankle brace does the job and hold very well but a flaw in the design makes that the pressure on the sock since you wear the brace over, causes terrible blister and skin burns at the front of the brace on the top of the foot.

I thought it could of been a little more tight. I ordered what it suggested.

I have weak ankles. Playing football and going in for a tackle I would always twist my ankle. Also when shooting i would sometimes hit the ball with my toes and my ankle would feel sore the next day. These supports and worth the money. They give me confidence to play my game. Plus they stop the ankle from rolling. Expensive but for someone with weak ankles these are brilliant.

Holds ankle in place very firmly which is what I want. Just make sure you put it over socks, when it's tight it can dig in so it cut into top of the feet when I wore it under the socks.Still 5 star rated because it works so effectively

I finally can play football again freely and not worry about my ankle!!!! Best product ever!!

Amazing, so comfortable (much more so than other good braces I've had).My ankles are pretty bad but have felt great in these.I don't think they'll last long - it's been less than a month of wearing them (2-3 times a week) and they're already starting to fray and wear away around the lace holes.
