WENKO 2521380100 Universal cover plates Hot Peperoni - set of 2, for all types of cookers, Tempered glass, 30 x 52 cm, Multicoloured

I originally bought these in sept 2016 and within a few months the backing started to peel off. They were kindly replaced by Amazon in Jan 2017 and inspite of my being extremely careful the backing has been gradually coming away over the past couple of years to the point where I am now looking for a replacement. The details clearly say these plates are scratch and heat resistant. They are definitely not scratch resistant - mine have scratches -lord knows how - its not like I use them to cut things on. I dont know if they are heat resistant as Ive never put them on my hob when it's anything but cold and I dont put hot pans on them either and yet the backing has still come adrift. I've never done more than wipe them clean with a soft dish cloth so it's not soaking in hot detergent that's done it and as I live alone it cant be somebody else's maltreatment either. They do look good for maybe a year if you are super careful hence 2* for sturdiness and only 3* for value because as they are only being used to cover the hob I would expect them to last longer. The best thing about them is they are easy to clean and very stylish for a while at least.

These really are fabulous. And they add a bit of dark glamour to the kitchen. They really do look cool.I bought them so the cats didn’t burn their paws on the hob. I’m glad I got them now because they look so good.Super easy to clean and the rubber feet are useful as you can have them higher or lower. I like that I can stand my pans on them after cooking instead of having to clutter up the counter.Only down side is the price but it’s a one off payment as they are unlikely to get broken so you will probably own them for many years.Highly recommend :)

These work really well as covers on my gas hob, using two of the foot stackers, which are unfortunately a light grey and they really screamed it me between the black hob and the black covers - black permanent marker did the trick though, and now they blend beautifully :). Perhaps the manufacturer could offer a choice of colour for the feet.I not used these as chopping boards, but I do take things from the oven and place them on there and all good as it only touches the glass rather than the picture which shines through from the under side.

Had looked in vain for a decent protective silicone mat for our induction hob so opted for this product which is attractive and the ideal size. Sadly, the backing plastic has not fully adhered to the glass and there are bubbles, some at the edge, which won't stick down. Should return, but it's a pain to repackage and find a Hermes depot. Therefore, have decided to use them, and if water/steam gets in and the plastic peels, will then return them.

Bought these to protect my new glass hob when not in use and they are an extra work top when in place. Always put them on a cold hob as they would probably crack if put on any heat. I think they’re great as they look so nice and are easy to wash and dry to a nice shiny finish

This is very sturdy to go over the hobs I have used a ninja foodi on top of it and it very safe and steady makes extra space on work tops I would recommend it

Looks absolutely stunning in my kichen, I would definitely recommend; i use them as glass plates on the work surface top alongside the gas hob.

Makes my Rangemaster Cooker an added work top and compliments my kitchen decor perfectly! In fact I was so impressed I went on to purchase the matching chopping board...
