PIR Motion Sensor Security Pure White LED Floodlight Flood Light Lamp

I'd been looking around for a while for an LEd floodlight for my back garden for a while and they were either too expensive or not bright enough, so when I saw this light I thought it was perfect but maybe too good to be true.Once I'd installed it and switched on I was very impressed with the light it gives out for such a very small lamp. It's not as bright as a typical halogen security light butit gives out enough light for our garden. I believe it's equal to a 100w lamp but uses about 20w so it will be very cheap to run as with our cat running round the light does tend to be on and off most of the time she's prowling round. The sensor was easy to adjust and it does it's job very well.One thing to be warned about though the unit turned up without any instructions in the box which we have informed LG about. It also had a very short piece of cable attached to the lamp so you will have to go and purchase additional wire to attach it so unless you know what you are doing I'd be careful.We contacted LG about this too and they were very apologetic and responded to us very quickly.

I was surprised at how bright this light is considering it only uses 10 watts. The Pir works great and it looks a well built neat little unit. There is no earth wire and the case is metal so I added an earth to the case simply using a short length of earth cable and securing fitting. It's a great price at around half of what i found elsewhere.

I was initially pretty happy with this as the light output was good enough to light up my small drive and I had bought an LED light as I seemed to be forever changing halogen tubes in the old light. I assumed being LED it would last for years. Wrong! It lasted about 2 months. As I work in electronics I took the light apart thinking it would be a power supply problem and I'd fix it. However the LED array had failed so there was nothing to be done other than bin it! Poor Chinese manufacturing I suspect!

Very pleased with this bright led floodlight. Very sensitive pir with wide coverage, have not mastered individual settings so it works day and night but as it's led it uses hardly any power.

The product arrived via Royal Mail on time, functioned correctly and was of good value, BUT...1) There was NO packing documentation (no sales advice, no mention of supplier)2) There was NO wiring instructions, but fortunately I am an electronics engineer and can sort things out.3) The lamp was fitted with a short 2-wire cable, but I believe it should be fitted with a 3-wire cable (including EARTH) to make it safe, as part of the lamp housing and the mounting bracket are METAL and need to be EARTHED (which I had to modify to comply with safety requirements).4) There is NO indication on the product that it complies with any safety standards or approvals (like CE mark).5) The mains wiring inside the lamp fitting is loosely CRIMPED (with a plastic sleeve) and would have failed over time, so it was lucky that I had to rewire the lamp.6) The mounting bracket is too short so the lamp is limited at what angle it is positioned. I had to make a longer bracket.All in all a potentially good valued product that has been badly assembled and is UNSAFE in it supplied form.

Not quite as easy to adjust. Lamp won't tip down as the sensor is in the way. Light also flickers when it first turns on

Great product - difficult to wire up as a 1m cable is soldered to the LED driver, I would recommend using the original cable through the wall when mounting and then join from within the building, I personally cut the wire within the light and used a joining block which is a very tight fit however the only reason for this is I ran the wiring while I waited for the delivery :)Be warned 10 watt isn't very bright, It's more than enough to light a walk way and small patio area but don't expect the daylight experience you get from a 500 watt halogen bulb then again think of the 490 watt saving on electricity! Im still very happy.

Well impressed. Gives a concentrated light in an area at the side of my house which was very dark. The attached cable could be longer but overall it works.
