Not plastic and will hold up overtime
I bought one of these 15 years ago it’s still works perfectly. I just bought a new one because I bought a new mattress and my old one was just not as white as it used to be, and I searched and searched and searched until I found the same company because this one’s not plastic key and if you have sensory issues, this is the one and it will hold up to the test at the time

The best mattress protector
This is the second Protect-a-bed cotton jersey mattress protector I've bought. It is soft like a t-shirt, makes no noise when you sleep on it, washable and lasts for years!!

NOT cotton jersey
The material on this is WOVEN, not knitted, very thin, and scratchy. Even though they have COTTON here in big letters, it is actually a cotton/poly blend (in the fine print below the main writing). I might have noticed that if they showed the back of the box. Hmmmm The backing is thick and crinkly. I have protectors from this company, and they are much nicer than this. I also have some from another company, which still is cotton terry and has a much more supple waterproof layer. Guess which one I'm going to buy next time? I won't even click on this deceptive brand again!
