Excellent Primer for Miniature Painting
The Army Painter Matt White Colour Primer is a superb choice for preparing miniatures before painting, especially for tabletop games like Warhammer, DnD, and other wargames. The 400ml can provides a smooth, even coat that adheres well to plastic, resin, and metal models, ensuring paint application is consistent and vibrant. The spray dries to a true matte white finish, which is perfect for bright color schemes or as a base for layering and washes. It also helps reduce the number of paint coats needed, saving both time and effort. The nozzle delivers a fine mist with minimal spatter, allowing for clean coverage on even the smallest details of a miniature. Drying time is quick, and the primer is durable enough to stand up to handling during gameplay and painting sessions. As with all spray paints, it’s best used in a well-ventilated area and with smooth, sweeping passes to avoid overcoating. If you want a reliable, high-quality primer that enhances your miniature painting results, this one is highly recommended.

Excellent spray paint. Quality service.
Edit: Replacement can arrived so quickly and it works perfectly. Thank you Army Painter (and thank you Amazon - for the incredibly quick delivery). Actual Product Review: The finish from this paint is beautifully smooth and clean and I have found it to be durable. Application is easy and you get excellent coverage. I have used Army Painter spray paint on a whole swarm of models now and none of them have had any problems with chipping or peeling from handling, tabletop use or transport. Aside from the defective can, which appears to have been just 'one of those things' as opposed to any indication of brand quality, I been very pleased with Army Painter spray paint and recommend it. Note: Do watch or read the tutorials as it is slightly different to your typical spray paint - particularly if you regularly use other brands of spray paint (you have to be closer to the model than you would usually be) and do perform the cleaning at the end of spraying to maintain longevity of your can. Original review: The can I received just a few hours ago was defective. No pressure. Paint just dribbling out. Totally unusable. The first tin of Army Painter Spray I bought was great. Still going strong and I was really happy with it. This is the second I have bought, and it doesn't work at all. I will be happy to improve this review if the returns policy works effectively and the next can works as intended. 'Army Painter' was recommended to me as a reliable brand so I am hoping this was just a bad tin and I got unlucky. Third times the charm!

Good, but might need a different method compared to other AP sprays
For the most part, excellent. I swear by AP’s other spray primers, they get a lovely gloss finish with a good colour, and it’s quite smooth without much hassle. Only really caveat is that I find the white primer comes out a little chalky? That might be user error, I may need to practice with some sprues, but you might need to get closer than the recommended distance to avoid that (and shake it like hell). The other colours are excellent, though.

Nozzle falls off
The primer’s great. My son uses it for his miniatures. He’s learned to shake it first, as he forgot to the second time he used it, and sprayed speckles all over his models instead of a clean spread of primer. I’ve examined his handiwork and he’s managed to get primer in the awkward to reach areas without over-spraying the rest of his figures. However, the spray nozzle had fallen off before his first use. He was warned about taking care and the health hazard of attempting to put the nozzle back on, but chose to do it himself, was careful about the direction it was aiming when doing so and made a clean job of it. Then the nozzle fell off again — exploded, as he describes it. Thankfully, he only uses it outside as per my instruction, because it made a lot of mess. Please fit the nozzle to be more secure, as this isn’t safe.

Excellent coverage
Great product. Excellent coverage as long as you use it wisely and sparingly especially for military vehicle kits.

I bought The Army Painter Color Primer in White to prep a black metal piece, and the results are fantastic. The coverage is impressive—it managed to mask the original black surface perfectly. What I loved most was how quickly it dried; it was touch-dry in just a few minutes, which really sped up my project. The finish is smooth and creates the perfect base for the final coat of paint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a professional-grade primer

Excellent product works great for miniatures. As long as you have a good technique your miniatures will be well primed and all the details on your miniatures will be perfectly there. BUT! this review rates the amazing customer service that I got from this seller, to solve the problem that I had. So cheers for them and be sure they won’t let you down.
