Over reliant on historical rather than artistic content and technique. Slightly disappointing but a good library addition.

A brilliant documentary! I really enjoyed the stories about Cezanne, Monet and Degas as they are fascinating personalities and artists. The documentary about one of the most anticipated exhibitions worldwide delivers a lot of background information and is a pleasure to watch. I would definitely recommend this DVD for everyone who is interested in art!

I absolutely loved how this was shot and put together. Beautifully balanced with a fantastic score too. Masterful stuff !!

On the assumption that this was the film shown in UK Cinemas in June 2015, (I apologise if it was not)do not buy.This film was a dreary disappointment full of pompous talking-heads and did a real dis-serviceto the Durand-Ruel show, which was very important and contained many gems.

Enjoyed immensely! Beautiful look at the wonderful paintings by the impressionists from a different viewpoint. Seeing the actually entries in the books for now such famous paintings, was quite stirring. We have many DVDs about painting and still found it to be fresh and very informative. Highly recommend.
