I enjoyed ALL OF IT!!!!
The Book of Moods was amazing. As you begin to read about each MOOD, they are explained so perfectly with Lauren's personal experience stories plus research and the science behind how the MOOD comes about. I resonated so many time with her stories and triggers. Laurens practices of how to shift perspective and find a better way to balance emotions are easy to implement to make big changes quickly.I felt while I was reading that there was a veil lifted and I could see myself with clearer eyes. I will revisit the book often, especially when I am "in a MOOD"Thank you Lauren for sharing your most raw & authentic self with us. I look forward to your future books. Congratulations!!!!!

Loved it
I follow Words of Women on Instagram and loved everything that was posted. Generally, a deeper understanding of emotion, of female experience and life. The book did not disappoint, lots of reference points and a comforting feeling that you’re not alone in your moods

A Must Read - Powerful, Honest, & Captivating
First off, I read this book in two days, which I never do! Lauren's writing pulls you in (you'll never get bored). She incorporates science/data research to explain certain emotions/moods, which I found incredibly interesting. The quotes throughout the book are powerful. As a female in her thirties I found this book to be so relatable. Like, yep, that's me, I've done that, thought that... She's incredibly honest and vulnerable, which is what ultimately connected me to the book. Also, the way she evaluates her moods and understands where they're coming from, allows us all to change our perspective on life. As she said, maybe my flight is delayed because I'm meant to meet someone. "...it reminds us that the greatest things that happen are usually the result of something worse that happened before." Also, this line is simple, brilliant, and true: "That's where magic happens - in the space in between what we think we want and what we get. When we're forced down a road we wouldn't be on if everything had worked out as we hoped." Enjoy!

A wonderful book that feels more like a soothing conversation with a friend
I have been following Lauren Martin on Instagram and was receiving her newsletter for years already, so it was only natural to also get her book the moment it was (pre)released. This book is a definite recommendation for anyone struggling with moods (hint: everybody does) as it offers a whole lot of suggestions and tips on how to overcome each and every one. I am on a self-emancipating journey myself, and most things she mentioned in the book I can not only relate to heavily but also found similar coping mechanisms. But especially two areas, family and work, are a huge bucket where I didn't even think about negative routines or beliefs I might hold. And she opened my eyes while at the same time giving me a whole lot of food for thought - and I appreciate that book and her so so much for this.
