The petcube surprised me in the quality of the hardware and the great app build. When you pay for cheap house cameras, you usually get cheap hardware, a barely usable app, and the constant worry of, is someone hacking into this thing right now? It's cheap for a reason. On the flipside, the petcube feels like a high-quality product, and the rosegold color looks great. It's smaller than I thought it was, the term "cube" isn't correct in this case, it's more like a thin rectangle. As far as the app itself goes, I'm very impressed. It felt fun, and integrated a picture feed from others in the petcube community kinda like instagram. It's not necessary, but again it's what separates itself as a product with a lot of care put into it vs a cheap $50 cam. The video quality is great, and you have the option to record and alert every movement or shut that off if you want. It gets a great field of view, I can see everything in the room from a high-point on the counter. Finally, I can't end this review without mentioning the talking and treat dispenser! Both worked well, and were pretty neat to play with. Unfortunately, my dog was a little scared of it. I don't hold that against petcube though, she's a little jumpy around everything; she'll come around eventually =) Final verdict: I'd recommend this for all pet owners who want to keep an eye on their troublemakers when they're not home!

I love the ability to see and talk to my fur babies and check in on them when I'm at work. It's also great to be able to give them a treat and take a picture etc. The only issue I have is that the video resolution isn't always the best but many factors can contribute to the overall quality. I have been using it for a few days now and I absolutely love this device. The quality of the video is pretty good and I love the night vision as well. I’m keeping it in a room that is as far from our router as possible in my house and it still works great. It does get better image when it’s closer to the wifi, but I’m still pleased with what I got. I bought it on PrimeDay and I wish they had also put their other cameras on sale, I’m definitely going to buy the Petcube Play in the future. The app is a little finicky and sometimes you need to restart it to get it to load properly, but it’s a great app and very user-friendly. My favorite part about this is that you can download the videos if you catch a cute moment of your pet. I think you need the petcube Care subscription to be able to download the videos, but it comes with a 7 day trial so you can decide if it’s something you want or not. My cats aren’t used to the sound of it when I fling the treats yet, but I think they’ll get used to it soon. It’s not loud or anything, it’s just my scaredy-cats haha I definitely reco mmend Petcube for anyone looking for a fun way to communicate with your pets when you’re not at home and to keep an eye on their safety.

It’s a great device but has a few glitches. It shows disconnected and offline at times. But when it’s online I can watch my cats and give treats when I’m gone.

Was reallly excited about this product before purchasing it... after I received the product that claims it is an easy setup .. it wouldn’t connect to my WiFi I even purchased extra WiFi enhancers to get it to work and still no help I reached out to the petcube support team and they didn’t even address the problem.. so I tried connecting it to a different WiFi at a desperate location still no luck sent it back for a replacement and once I got my replacement I had a different connection problem and once again reached out for support and was suppose to be next caller and didn’t ever get a answer for over an hour I was one wait saying I was next in line and should have been a 45 second wait.. never got a call back or any type of assistance... extremely disappointed with this and will never recommend or purchase any more Products from this company

This contraption is a real pain in the neck. Their customer service is relatively helpful if you can manage to get ahold of someone, but holy heck at the long drawn out process it was to get the thing set up. First I’m told that it could actually take up to 24 hours for it to update itself on a 2.4 g network (rather than my perfectly even more capable 5g simply because petcube doesn’t support it). Then from Thursday-Monday, it simply is stuck in the update process, despite multiple attempts to reset it and reconnect it. Support for this cloud enabled security camera-like device is available until the wee hours of the night during the week, but none at all on the weekend for some reason. When I can finally connect with someone, it takes forever to set the thing up because they have to literally take remote control of your computer to download the firmware manually to your petcube. After I finally got it running, we tried it out in the house in another room to see how it does. The sound is awful and you can barely hear the audio coming in from the petcube, and it’s very choppy. Audio from you to your pets doesn’t work half the time. I had a family member elsewhere download the app and try it out and they had similar issues, with two way audio functioning correctly half the time, but always sounding choppy and weird. He said the one time my dog heard him, it was freaking her out because of the weird feedbacky choppiness. And if you ignore the bad reviews and get one and manage to get it working, for the love of God, don’t try to unplug it to move it around for a better picture or connection, because you will have to undergo the painstaking setup process again and reset, disconnect, reconnect, reset, and so on over and over until you get lucky and it decides to cooperate—only to leave your house and discover how it will really perform when you need it most. I should have listened to the reviews.

My schedule recently changed and my partner and I had to leave our english cocker spaniel, Khaleesi (yes, we're huge game of thrones fans!) home alone twice a week. I searched for cameras or a way to still be connected to our little pup when away at work during the day. Enter - Petcube! We ordered this item and have been loving the fact that I'm always able to keep an eye on her when we're not home. Things I love Being able to talk to her and see her! I love being able to hear her if she barks at the mailman, which she always does. The app is easy to use and we can see her/talk to her and throw some treats, at any time. The camera and video resolution is great so it's easy to see her! The design of the petcube and the rose gold color option go well with my decor at home, so it's not an eye sore. On the contrary, it looks super nice next to my brass stool. Things she loves TREATS! TREATS! TREATS! She's all about them treats. It's super cool to be able to throw some treats her way and brighten her day right from the app. Even when I'm home, I've caught her hanging out really close to it. waiting for treats to magically appear! (see pics attached) Overall, I'm very happy with our Petcube and love that I never feel disconnected or far away from our furry baby! :)

I love that I can see what my dog is up to when I leave the house. I can spy on her when I'm at work and throw her some treats. I used to feel sooo guilty whenever I leave, even when it's just for a few hours. This has definitely helped me feel less guilty (b/c I know that she just sleeps and maybe paces around a bit). Peace of mind is great! One of my friends told me he caught his dog doing something she shouldn't and he was able to distract her with the petcube. One of my favorite things to do is actually record her overnight. She ALWAYS wakes up at 5am and paces around. I am too sleepy to see what she's up to, but now I know.. Some of the features that I love are: it's a treat dispenser, i can SHARE the camera access with my family and friends via the petcube app (i can give them access to interact with my dog), it has a zooming feature, the hd quality is pretty good, and it doubles as a security camera. :) I only wish that they have a web app. It's not a big deal since I can just use my phone to check on her, but it will be nice when they finally have web app support.
