Great quality great taste

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this product due to some of the negative reviews but I am glad that I did. The Macadamia nuts are fresh and raw as it intended to be. Keep in mind given these are organic and minimally processed, you are bound to find a few less desirable nuts in a bag. But that is just part of the deal when you get raw, organic food products that are minimally processed. Overall I would rate this very good quality product and will definitely be coming back for more.

I ordered these to do a limited "fat fast" to initiate ketosis prior to a cycle of ProLon. Sadly, the bag was open inside the bubble mailer and the nuts were loose in the outer packaging, which had a strong chemical smell. It appeared that the top of the bag had never been heat sealed. Okay, things happen, it's from Amazon, so shouldn't be a hassle to get replacement, right? I went into my account to request a replacement and found limited options, guessing due to the nature of the product. The only working option was a "Get Help" button. This put me into a partner messaging system to contact Food for Life directly. I explained the situation, requested a return label for the defective bag, and a replacement. After 2 days without even an acknowledgment of receipt of my message, I sent another message. The second message garnered a response stating that because Amazon fulfilled the shipment, Food for Life could not resolve the issue. They directed me to phone Amazon for assistance. So, I called Amazon, explained the issue, and requested a replacement - wondering to myself why I was not able to do that from the very beginning. Of course, Amazon said that because it came from a partner, they could not place an order for replacement. They were able to process a refund, thank goodness. It was too much follow up on my part for a damaged/defective item replacement. I bought a smaller amount locally and did not place a new order.

These were a splurge that turned out to be just a huge waste of money. $51.49 for two pounds of rancid, bitter macadamias. The expiration date on the package is not until 04-2021, but this batch was clearly past its prime. About 1/4 of them were already darker brown and dried out when we first opened the bag. We tried soaking some but that didn't help at all. They have that spoiled, very old oil taste and smell that stays in your mouth for hours after eating them. We had to throw them away. I'm very disappointed and won't make the mistake of ordering from this company again. There seems to be zero quality control because they should have been pulled out and discarded.

Good size bag for the money.

I read online that some customers received the same Macadamia Nuts that were somewhat stale. I was anxious while ordering. However, after receiving the 2 pound bag of Macadamia nuts I was delighted. They were quite fresh. These Macadamia nuts are delicious. I find it hard to not eat too many in a day.
