Latin: Third Year (Henle Latin) (English and Latin Edition)

All of the books in the Henle latin series are winners! I first used them many years ago in high school and used them now for a refresher. They teach the language in small easy to digest segments. When you have completed the four volumes in the series, YOU KNOW LATIN. They are thorough and give a good structural foundation. Plus, by using the available answer keys, they are excellent for independent study.

I bought the book along with others to attemp to learn Latin.

I use this in coordination with another Latin curriculum. Henle Latin 1 is methodical, but lacks the foundational elements that tie in the logic of our English grammar system. Henle 3 is a wonderful translation tool, while limited to vocabulary used by Cicero.

This is the first book of a four-year course. It is one of the most thorough course in Latin I have ever come across. It is written with Roman Catholics in mind, I'm not religious, but I still rate this book very highly.
