Best device we have ever purchased for our Black Lab. I got it in 2024, it's worked flawlessly for over 15mths! Never failed all over the UK on holidays, travels! Our boy likes to swim and typical boystrous Lab bounding around in the forests etc and not once has it stopped working or fallen off! Totally waterproof! (See video) He swims and splashes whilst wearing it most days! I got the XL for our 4yr old Lab. Easy to fit and pair with the app. Extremely well made and comfortable on his collar! Only once, by human error, after wiping him down I left the collar and tracker on a bench, I used the app and it took me straight back to it. Love your dog or cat? Just buy one! For the small monthly cost, the peace of mind feeling is awesome, especially on holidays or in strange places! I cannot recommend this device highly enough!

Searched high and low for a reliable pet tracker.. after reading many customer reviews on some of the top brands we were not convinced.. we looked at the Tractive tracker and pleased that we did. We decided to go for the xl adventure because Tractive claim that it’s 100% waterproof as our retriever loves water…and it is.. The tracker itself cost around £65 but does not include the subscription which cost us another £165 for two years but does include 24 months loss and damage insurance with free replacement if lost,damaged or broken.Which I thought was very reasonable.other trackers cost 3X more and may be free to use without a subscription but don’t work the way you expect. The tracker works perfectly as it’s a gps satellite tracker and works perfectly in remote locations where other top branded devices don’t work.. (buyer beware) and doesn’t rely on mobile networks like other brands. The last thing to mention is the battery life is excellent as my dog has been wearing it for around 12 hours a day for 10 days and still has almost 90% of its original charge so we’re not having to worry about it every day. Overall very happy with our purchase…

A bit big for my staffy x whippet but does the job. I bought an aftermarket silicone sleeve because I was worried about the security of the original. Accuracy is good, at worst accurate to within about 5m, at best much better than that. Battery life is usually about a fortnight, although may be more depending on how often I track her in real time. You need a subscription for the device to work but for us it’s worth every penny. Setup is a breeze and connectivity is good here. I had a charging issue with my first device and Tractive swapped it quickly with no quibbles. The device has given me peace of mind and my dog the freedom to be allowed out of my line of sight. To me, that’s priceless and I’m very happy with my Tractive XL.

The Tractive XL GPS Dog Tracker is decent for tracking your dog’s location, and the battery lasting up to a month is a real plus. Real-time tracking works well, though it can struggle a bit on countryside walks, sometimes showing “ghost paths,” which usually fix themselves after the walk ends. That said, there are a few frustrating issues. The app assumes how much exercise your dog should get and tries to make you feel bad if your dog doesn’t meet the “average breed” level. My dog has bad legs, so this is really unhelpful and feels unnecessary. Another downside is the steep upfront subscription cost—you can’t even access the app to see your dog without paying first. That feels like a big barrier, especially if you’re just trying it out. Overall, the device itself is solid for GPS tracking, but the subscription and exercise assumptions make it less user-friendly than it could be. Will use it for a couple of weeks to see how I go, but I think their might be better out there.

Ok, this is for the tractive tracker for large dogs. Initially all went well, unit worked fine and we ended coughing up for the two hundred pound subscription (2 years cover) which included a lost unit cover charge as well - you lose it, they replace it. Recently we have had issues with phone network providers switching off old 2 and 3G masts. Needless to say the tracker no loner works, after contacting the help desk, it took them several days to reply and suggest basically rebooting the unit, like we hadn't tried that already. Multiple emails down the line, still no service of the unit, helpdesk now totally ignoring us - bearing in mind that so far we have paid around three hundred quid in total at the moment. Still waiting, have emailed them today threatening legal action with pursuance through the small claims court as we are being totally ignored. The dog is walked at least twice a day, he escaped yesterday, none of which was shown on the tracker. I will update if anything positive happens, many thanks for reading. An update! The helpdesk has refunded the subscription cost to me, they refuse to refund the original unit as it was an Amazon purchase. They now want the spare one they sent out to test returning - at my expense - tracked of course - maybe they could use their tracker! They blame O2 for the loss of the LTE signal where I live, O2 beg to differ and claim the signal is fine - wonder who's fibbing, yes it worked for nearly 3 months, then stopped, we were not happy bunnies all said and done, I will get another one from elsewhere.

Avoid avoid avoid avoid - the tracker itself is mid at best and poor at worst but the company itself is the true red flag. The tracker says your dog is in a completely different place to what it is, the radar and Bluetooth don’t work when it’s even a meter away and the light and sound are so pathetic that the only time it would be of use is when the dog is an arms length away. The company is all but an outright scam. They make contacting customer service deliberately difficult and the support through email is beyond useless, the FAQs say to contact customer support but customer support does nothing but copy and paste from the FAQs!! They are unhelpful and there is no phone number to call when you’re going in circles with the online help (I’m 25 and in tech so would like to think I know how to navigate a website). The tracker subscriptions are sold with a 30 day ‘trial’ supposedly where you can get a refund but upon actually trying to enact the refund you’re sent on a massive roundabout journey. You have to request it via a section on their website which doesn’t do anything but turn off auto renew (well within the 30 day cancellation window) when contacting customer service you go through an hour of them trying to refer you to the FAQs which simply send you on the route to cancel auto renew. Upon probing them they finally enable the refund which isn’t the end of it as you then need to follow another link to CLAIM the refund which is insane. Following all of this I am still now stuck with a £90 tracker though as for some obscene reason you have absolutely no ability to get them to delete or unlink your account - I was told I have no power to ask them to delete my data? How this is even legal I don’t know. They said if I’d have asked to switch to a monthly subscription prior to cancelling my 5 year subscription they ‘may’ have helped me but as I’d cancelled I have no power and my account will be linked to this tracker for 5 years no matter what. Also note if you cancel and want to reinstate your tracker later you are still locked into the same plan and in my case would have to pay the £240 again with no option to cancel or select a different plan. None of this information is given up front, it’s simply sold as a no harm no foul trial. Do yourself a favour and just buy a cow bell for the collar and avoid the pain of dealing with this useless and unethical company

Battery life is fantastic, we only use it when we go abroad just in case our dog takes a wonder after some prey. Accuracy is great.

Le GPS fonctionne à la perfection. Par contre l’attache en caoutchouc n’a pas résisté 15 minutes. C’est un appareil pour grands chiens, il faut donc composer avec la violence de leurs ébrouements.

Bought what should have been the highest quality one and after 14 months it will no longer charges. I spoke to them about their warranty and they offered to replace the unit, but then wanted me to pay shipping and import costs that would be more than the device itself. I will no longer be using this company and would avoid using them.

Una maravilla, sabes en todo momento el estado de tu perro y donde está, sin preocupaciones. Si el perro se te escapa sabes a donde a ido y donde está en el momento, le pones vallas virtuales y recibes una alerta en el preciso instante que se la salta por tanto sabes el momento exacto en el que se ha escapado, guarda por fechas y horas los lugares por los que ha pasado tu perro, ideal para saber si a podido ser tu perro el que dicen que estaba donde no devia estar cuando no debía estar. Y en el caso de el XL olvídate durante 1 mes de cargarlo.

Uso el Tractive DOG XL con mi mastina, que está en el pueblo cuidando las ovejas, y sinceramente me da una tranquilidad enorme. Al ser una perra grande, muy protectora y siempre atenta a cualquier ruido o movimiento, a veces sale disparada detrás de algún sonido o se aleja más de lo que me gustaría, pero con este GPS sé en todo momento dónde está y puedo ir a recogerla rápido sin perder horas buscándola por el campo. La ubicación me resulta muy precisa, la app es fácil de usar y para perros que pasan mucho tiempo en fincas, monte o zonas rurales es una herramienta súper práctica. En mi caso no es solo comodidad, es seguridad: me permite dejarla hacer su trabajo con libertad mientras yo tengo la tranquilidad de saber que está bien localizada. Además, la batería dura bastante, algo clave cuando está muchas horas fuera. Para perros grandes, guardianes o pastores como la mía, ha sido una compra muy útil y recomendable.

This unit has a better battery life and easier on off than my previous unit but it is larger and heavier so this unit is for big dogs. All in all I am very happy with the tracking capability’s.
