The survival whistle may or may not be nice but it doesn't matter to me anymore. I wanted to give these as gifts in the Christmas stockings but the box of one whistle was so smashed up and torn that it looked terrible. If I can't wrap it and have a nice looking package, it goes back. I'll find another gadget for the stockings. Disappointing.

I really like this survival whistle. I like that it has seven different survival tools (the whistle itself, a compass, a thermometer, a mirror for reflecting light, a magnifying glass, a flashlight, and the space to put a paper form of identification. It is a very smart product that could definitely come in handy in an emergency situation. It has a nice, long nylon rope that allows it to be worn around the neck and should be comfortable on pretty much any person. The weight is not bad. It feels sturdy but not like it would weigh you down. The clasp on the nylon rope seems strong enough that it would not come off very easily in an accidental way. It is a nice, deep army green which makes it look like an outdoor tool and makes it pleasant to look at but it also means that it would blend in if you were to drop it so a brighter color might be better. The only real complaint that I have, though, is that the flashlight only works while you are pressing the button and that could prove to be difficult to do should someone be in an emergency situation where they are injured or exhausted. I just think that the light should have the option of remaining on if the user would like it to do so. Overall, though I think that it is a very useful and clever product and I will be glad to have it available the next time that we are hiking or traveling. I hope to never need it, but I would recommend it for anyone who likes to adventure in the outdoors.

Simple every day kind of whistle for your hiking backpack. It’s loud.The compass is a great little addition .Got this for my son and he’s happy with it.

What a great Outlery Survival Whistle, it has a compass, thermometer, reflective mirror and has sealed storage. You can easily keep in your hiking bag or place on your person, has long nylon cord if you want to hang around your neck.The whistle is pretty loud and this multi whistle even has a flashlight. I’m really jazzed about this product, you get a good quality multi-whistle at such reasonable cost. I’m sure we’ll be ordering a few more of these in the near future.5+ Stars 🌟

The thing is small, cheaply made and the whistle is not very loud. A very bad choice for an emergency in a boat.

loud enough but not painfully so. sound should carry a good distance though I haven't been in a situation where I can measure how far it travels. portable. good choice for my hikes.
