NLT Premium Slimline Reference Bible, Large Print, Taupe (Premium Slimline Reference LP: NLTse) Paperback – Large Print, 1 Sept. 2012

Very attractive Bible, nice quality, silver page edges. Some nice touches with the dictionary of Greek and Hebrew words, concordance and maps with some interesting detail on. They are very limited in scope however - the concordance for example has far fewer entries than the one in my NIV Bible so cannot be used for any serious study. Bible is physically smaller than listed too - cover 14cm x 22cm x 3cm, pages a few millimetres smaller than that.

This is a great bible. I have been a Christian for over 40 years and have had a number of bibles over that time. I needed to update from NIV to NLT as our church has gone over to that translation and this works a treat. It is large print and yet fits a lot onto a page. It is quite thin and light and yet manages to contain a good number of cleverly organised reference systems from a concise concordance, to maps, to a limited but handy cross-reference. It lies flat and so is great for study or preaching from. The pages are not too thin and are sturdy. The cover is pleasant enough and soft so it sits in the hand well. If you want a study bible of the rigour and range of the NIV Study Bible this is not it. However, that weighs much more than this, is very thick and difficult to use for anything other than study at home.

This is a really beautiful Bible. It's perfect size for me, fits in one hand but the print is legible, the gilded pages and the bound leather, though imitation, look great. Sadly however, the box it arrived in was not sealed, and there was a scratch right across those beautiful gilded pages (see picture), and a scratch on the back through the 'leather'. No fault of the Bible itself, or the publishers, just a heads-up for Amazon. These should really be sealed in their boxes to protect them! I will be keeping this one though, since I know it will see much worse days with the wear and tear it will experience from me. But of course, if yours arrives in a less that satisfactory state, send it right back! It's a beautiful Bible and you have paid for it, you deserve an undamaged item!

Handy size, slim line and font still very readable. I got my mum a copy of this too and she loves it. Words of Christ in Red in New Testamont which I love. Wiuld order for other memevers of my famiky but it is currently out of stock....I have had mine for five years, with very frequent use and binding is still as good as new...even if the cover is a little scuffed!

I ordered this Bible - NLT Slimline Centre Column Reference Bible – Brown/Tan Leatherlike – ISBN 978-1-4143-2708-2 - from Aphrohead Books, Southport, UK, through Amazon UK on the evening of 4th July and it arrived boxed and in perfect condition by noon today, 10th July. There is little I can usefully add to earlier reviews extolling the virtues of the NLT and the quality of the product. I am very pleased with both. There are only 2 inconsequential things I might say which contradict other reviews to a degree, namely the copy I received was printed in China (not Italy) and the cover is actually darker than the illustration on Amazon’s website and, in fact, on the box in which it came. It is more maroon/brown than brown/tan. But, as I say, these matters are of little consequence.

Expected a larger print, as was the advertised version.

I like this product. I wanted a newer translation of the bible which is easy to understand yet doesn't deviate from the original meaning. I also wanted a portable bible that is light enough to carry around with me on my daily commute. The bible fits both criteria. I really like the leather cover too. Only slight downer is that the font is on the small side but should be good if you have good eyesight. The font is understandable since the bible is quite small and light.

Great bible easy to read and understand, as the KJV can be a little tough twisting read. I absolutely love the life scriptures section as you can read particular books for encouragement and understanding plus it has a daily reading plan that can help guide ur journey. Overall would reccomend this bible.
