I bought these thinking they were the same size as the “stable mates” but when they arrived they were much smaller, however it’s totally fine, I just got the scale sizes mixed up. Despite the smaller size, these are the perfect little collectibles! I got the unicorn set as well as the regular set for my daughter’s birthday and she loves them! Something to note if you’re familiar with Breyer horses is most of them are made of a hard plastic material, these mini whinnies are made of a more flexible material (which means they’re a lot harder to break if they get played with) so I was pretty happy with that too since I bought them as a toy. The only thing I noticed is because they’re a softer material, they seem to lack the visual quality that the other scales have. Again, not a big deal for me since they’re toys, just something I noticed. Pictured you see a breyer “stable mate” (1:32 scale) with 1 “mini whinnie” horse from the barn set and a unicorn from the castle set (1:64 scale) so you can see the size difference between the two scales. I definitely recommend for any horse or unicorn lover!

Another review said that the barn was the size of a slice of cheese and now I can't unsee it. LOL! I included a picture of the barn and cheese. The horses are very tiny, but cute. I get that Breyer is trying to get in on the blind bag toy craze, but I think that collectors can take a hard pass on these. I bought a total of 6 sets, and got two sets of repeats. I posted a picture with regular stable mate horses so you can see the true size. I like mine, but wouldn't buy again. I don't see any purpose for them.

My horse-crazy sister loves these mini-whinnies. She likes the color variety and how cute and tiny they are. She also likes that the purple one is rearing instead of all of them just standing. She says that they are good quality and appreciates that they don't have any scratches or bent parts. She liked the packaging as well, the fun box that looks like a barn, and the crinkle paper inside. Overall, I recommend these mini-whinnies for anyone who loves horses or unicorns.
