I love the movie "Rebellion" and this manga adaptation did not disappoint. The film excels in its visual storytelling with hypnotic designs and psychedelic animation, all the best of the witch worlds from the TV series cranked up to eleven courtesy of the artistry of Gekidan Inu Curry - such that I worried how it could possibly be recreated to any satisfactory extent in black and white manga art. But no, I had no reason to doubt as Hanokage weaves the story through dazzling page layouts that not only capture the stunning kaleidoscopic visuals of the movie, but creates their own dazzling visualizations of key moments. You got chills watching the movie, and you will get chills reading the manga. An adaptation that didn't disappoint in any way.
