UPDATE: Not working and no support
The printer arrived on time, but it is not working, it is not printing anything, I have sent an email to the email address on the support page and in the printer (there is an email in the printer menu) but I got no answer yet. After this review the support team contacted me, requested some pictures and video in order to check the malfunction.I will update as soon as I get more answers from the support team and, hopefuly, the solution.I'm running more tests as requested by the support team, I will update when I have more news.UPDATE Oct 1st:The support team has offered to send a UV screen eplacement, so I update to 2 stars.I will wait for hte UV screen replacement and check if the printer works properly, I will update after doing this.UPDATE OCT 14th:A new UV screen was sent to me, it arrived really fast, it was sent by DHL.I will replace it and test it, then I will update again.UPDATE:The Creality CS where in contact with me, it is not that fast, but they do contact the customers. At the end, they sent a replacement screen, I didn't pay anything extra, I replaced the screen and it is printing now. I have had some problems with the final result but I think it is my lack of experience, this is the 1st 3d printer I have.

Decent prints ... when it will produce them
As with others, this is my first resin printer. Did everything in the (minimal) instruction manual and video, printed a flat test piece off Thingiverse, came out pretty good.Full of confidence, I started a more ambitious print ... and it failed. Stuck to the FEP sheet - as has just about every print since then. Once in awhile, I get a part that prints completely: always something small, and never in the same part of the bed twice. It's like the FEP sheet is single-use or something: once an area of it has been printed on, it cannot be used again. Even if you run a cleaning cycle after each print.Note that these successful prints are all parts of my own design, or off Thingiverse. The ones included with the printer failed. The ones in "Creality Cloud" that come as a free gift for signing up are so lame, I don't know why they bother - nobody is gonna waste resin on those.Where it stands now: This thing wasted a lot of my time, so it is packed away with the 8k resin drained back into a bottle. When the weather warms up, and I can be sure it is not the cold temps causing the failure (way, WAY too many variables that can cause failure in this process), I'll replace the FEP sheet and try again. I did inspect the FEP sheet after draining, and it is bent and scratched in places, so I'm sure that can't help.Very dissatisfied with the purchased, with Creality, and with resin printing in general.ADDENDUM: I thought I'd add an update based on all the PPE cautions expressed in reviews and videos for resin printing. Read the MSDS (material safety data sheet) for your resin, guys. Yes, it is considered hazardous, but the specific hazard is an *irritant*. So yes, don't get it in your eyes, don't lick it, avoid contact with your skin, and so forth - but it's not hexavalent chromium (you welders will know what I'm talking about). It's not going to kill you and is no more likely to give you cancer than everything else you encounter in daily life. It is very, very toxic to wildlife (fish, birds, insects if I recall correctly) when uncured, so maybe pay more attention to disposal than PPE. Treat it like you would permethrin, in that regard.

Great Starter Printer
I've been 3d printing with resin for about 3 years now. Ive owned two anycubic machines, and one failed Sunlu machine. My experience with the halot mage (regular) has been as close to perfect as I could ask for.SetupThe setup for this printer was super easy. Just your typical bolt style build plate and leveling paper. I prefer to use the vat method for leveling and once I leveled it I haven't had to relevel it again. (about two months now). The box contains everything you need to get started, and an extra FEP which is pretty sweet. My only suggestion is you should update the firmware before running the machine for the first time. The firmware adjusts motor speed for the build plate and out of the box the build plate moves WAAAY too fast out of the vat when a print is done, causing a splashing mess. Other than that everything set up easy and fast.DesignI absolutely love the flip up lid on the Mage. It's an absolute game changer. I've managed to actually keep it resin free and looking brand spanking new months after purchase. The build plate is perfect, no concave or convex to it. A single twist bolt holds the build plate to the armature. This also comes with a filter built in a a flexible house to divert fumes from the machine. Overall this machine is built as solid as I could ask for.Print QualityI've been using water washable resin from day one through the Mage and out of probably 50 or 60 prints I've only ever had two partial failures, with one being my fault (forgot to tighten down vat bolts). I've been slicing the files to 30um and then printing with anti aliasing and the orints have been coming out crisp as hell. This printer is an absolute workhorse and has been a delight to use. Coming from being dedicated to another brand and giving creality a try I have been extremely pleased. I've attached a couple photos of prints I've done.ValueI don't think you're going to find any better value than the Halot Mage (reg). I managed to snag mine on sale with a free bottle of resin. $229 for an 8k 10.3 inch build plate printer is unheard of. And in my opinion it feels like an absolute steal. In my opinion the Mage is the best bang for your buck if you're just entering resin printing or looking for an affordable option to print minis.

Large print volume with decent quality at an excellent price point
This is a great 3D resin printer for beginner to intermediate users. It has a very large print volume of 10.3 inches @ 8k giving a fairly decent 30 microns pixel size, a handy flip-away lid, and an effective carbon filtration system. The setup was easy peasy and I was up and printing in under a half hour, and while the UI is not perfect, it is manageable and I expect it will improve with firmware updates in the near future. The print speed is a fairly modest 40mm/hr and you will of course find other resin printers that are faster, larger, and have even higher resolutions but not at this price point. All in all, an excellent value, IMO, from a leading name in 3D printing.

Big upgrade from my Elegoo mars pro
The level of detail is way better(going from 2k to 8k). Love the hinged cover and 10"print surface. Working flawlessly out of the box and we'll past 8large prints without a failure. Also find the price to performance fair. If you want a large scale resin printer this unit is perfect!

Has to be the worst printer on the market
I have gone through 5 bottles of resin and have only managed to get maybe 5-10 acceptable prints off it the rest have been tossed. Between the bed having over 1/16 of a curve, an almost glass smooth build plate, a fep so sticky it rips holes in it( on my 4th fep in less than 2 months. I am returning it, absolutely junk it costs me 2-3x as much to print anything due to the constant problems.Just search it on Facebook and find everyone complaining about it. Save the frustration and spend 150$ more for the anycubic m5.
