Looks premium, performs as it's meant to, and has saved my life :)
My house's wi-fi has been bad for quite a while - disconnecting and reconnecting, with internet speeds regularly dropping significantly: making my recent online experience often quite irritating. Part of this problem was down to distance from the router and the amount of other devices in the house using the wi-fi signals being transmitted around, and I'd noticed that using the ethernet for internet access on my desktop computer seemed to get better speeds and more reliable connection. However, I mostly use my laptop now, which unfortunately doesn't have an ethernet port - so I'd all but given up hope until I realised I could just buy an adapter :D.Usually I go to a more well-known brand like Anker to buy these kinds of peripherals, but as there was an offer on this product, I took a punt on the Llano ethernet adapter. And I can now say, it does everything I wanted it to do... AND MORE!I've been using it for over a week now, and it's never failed or shown an error in connecting to or from my computer or wall socket. I've been happily browsing the internet with improved speeds and a flawless connection compared to using wi-fi, so I can definitely say the product works as it's supposed to. However, it also boasts THREE USB-3 PORTS, which is massively useful as I only had one USB-3 port on my laptop to start with, so the potential to be plugged in with ethernet AND have up to three USB-3 or USB-2 devices, like memory sticks, hard drives or peripheral adapters, is awesome. And, did I mention how good it looks - the smooth, sleek grey aluminium housing of the adapter (which even extends to the USB plug) looks professional and feels high-quality, and goes great with a metal laptop too ;)So all in all, this smart-looking, great-performing ethernet adapter and USB hub combo works a treat, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an ethernet adapter, or even just a USB hub as you'd get the added functionality of ethernet if you don't already have it. Easily gets my seal of approval :D

Good quality at a reasonable price...
What a handy little gadget this is. I never thought I would need one but my daughter's Microsoft Surface doesn't have a network port. The wifi, in her room, is weak (thanks to Virgin's useless hub) so I replaced the CAT 5 network cables with CAT 8, for more reliability. However, as I said, she doesn't have a network port. One of the things I like about modern technology is that where there is a problem, there is always a solution. This gadget is the solution. I doubted if it will work or not but it does.It quick and simple to set up, with WIN 10 supporting Plug and Play, it was simply a matter of connecting the RJ45 plug to this simple box and connecting to the Surface's USB port.Immediately upon connecting it, she disabled her wifi and ran a speed test. She got a result of 219Mb download and 21Mb upload, which means there's a negligable loss of data transfer speed over 15 metres of CAT 8 network cable, this gadget and her USB port. So, this really is a problem solver.I highly recommend this adapter / gadget as it works as it should and as described, with no delays in data transfer whatsoever. It really is good value for money.Pros -lightweightsmall enough to carry around in a pocket or small pursecopes well with high speedssimple set upreasonable priceCons -there's none I can think of

Convert your wireless laptop to wired
I have a small notebook style laptop which is wireless only, for most of the time that's good enough but we wanted to use it for an online meeting connected to the TV via the Xbox. The wireless where it was sat was running around 25Mbps which is OK but not the best.Added this device and connected it to the switch I have local to that area (which then connects back to the router via a BT Wifi disc) and the speeds were hitting 350Mbps.Almost perfect but beware, it doesn't appear to be backwards compatible - my notebook has a 3 USB ports, 2 are USB 2.0 and 1 is USB 3.0 - The device isn't detected in the USB 2.0 ports at all but works perfectly in the USB 3.0 port, this may be down to the cheap USB chipset in the notebook but may also be down to the USB chipset in the adapter not being backwardly compatible, I've seen the same thing with early USB 3.0 memory sticks on various devices so if you find it doesn't work first time check your port is USB 3.0 (Normally blue inside).

Stylish, compact, but limited functionality
Good things: compact, stylish, relatively inexpensiveNot so good: the Ethernet port seems to rate limit the throughput to about 25Mbps on an Ethernet cable. Not sure why this is, or whether it is a limit on my own laptop (I'm using Microsoft Surface Pro 6 with this product) but I doubt it is the laptop since my desktop dock doesn't cause the same problem. What's more, running Ethernet and a decent quality USB headset through the adaptor doesn't work - the headset is constantly stuttering with both transmitted and received voice, and the adaptor(possibly in conjunction with the limiting Ethernet port) just can't be used with an Ethernet cable connection and USB headset together. Which is the main reason I bought the adaptor. Note this problem doesn't happen with my desktop dock, so the conclusion had to be that the adaptor is limiting the functionality in some way. So in summary- good as a standalone portable USB adaptor/hub, works with limited data throughput on the Ethernet, and unfortunately in my case it can't be used with Ethernet and a USB headset together for Zoom(or similar) calls.
