Connection issues all the time
I loved this monitor at first especially since it has the option to access it from the app on your phone but now that I have had it over a year, the parent monitor is always beeping and saying “establishing connection.” My internet is fine, I have no issues with any other devices in my house having Wi-Fi issues. So I don’t get why it won’t work as good now. Since I am out of my year warranty, Leap frog won’t do anything. They also to just re purchase the whole thing and they can give. 10% discount. So crazy to me.

Big screen, quality picture
My husband bought this monitor for our daughter’s room. We have had the infant optics DXR-8 since our daughter was born back in 2021. The infant optics was starting to have issues and I wanted a larger screen and clearer picture. This fits both those concerns. The size is great! I know a lot of people like smaller more manageable monitors but I like the bigger size, allows me to clearly see my daughter’s entire room. It’s literally like a tablet, and I love it! There’s color mode and black and white, both provide beautiful, clear picture quality. The battery life lasts, granted I’ve only had this a few weeks but so far we’ve had no issues. The zoom function is amazing! Doesn’t get super blurry even when zoomed up to x8. The camera is very nice, my husband was able to attach it to the wall and the plug cord is long enough to move it around to wherever you like. I haven’t had any issues with it and honestly it’s a great upgrade from the infant optics. Plus there’s an app for our phones so we can access the camera from anywhere at any time. Overall really pleased with this baby monitor!

Lacks Quality
My baby is now 5 months and we've been using this daily for the last couple of months. I am overall unimpressed by quality of the product for the following reasons: - Poor Connection: The video is constantly cutting in and out (on the app and the baby monitor). Several times a day, the screen becomes extremely pixelated and blurred. In the middle of the night, the monitor beeps loudly (indicating connection to the baby unit has been lost) and this wakes up my husband and I. - Poor Night Vision: The baby unit is 3 feet above and 1 foot to the right of my baby's crib and I can't see my baby's eyes in the video to tell if they are opened or closed. The daytime video is great and clear, but we nap our baby with blackout curtains and at night time it's obviously dark, so the quality of the picture just isn't working for us. - Poor motion detection: My motion detection settings are set to the highest sensitivity but the camera misses recording so much movement. Many nights, I see that my baby has done a complete 180 degree turn and most times there is no video recorded. -Parking mode: The baby unit has issues returning back to its normal position after getting out of parking mode. Sometimes it tries so hard and cant fix it so it disconnects the camera and I have to manually restart the camera. I wish I had purchased another baby monitor and am feeling a little robbed for spending the extra money on this one. Its unfortunately past my return date so we may just have to buy another and throw this one out.

Great baby cam
UPDATE 02/23: I had an issue with the camera after about 2 months of use. It wasn't panning correctly and the connection, even in direct connect mode was extremely slow and leggy. I contacted support and with very few questions asked they set me up for a return unit. This had to have been the easiest support call I've ever been on with a company. Less then 10 minutes on the phone and another unit was set up to be sent to me. They sent a return shipping label as well with 90 days to return the defective unit. The new unit arrived at my house in less than a week. I'd give 10 stars if I could for the added customer service. -------- Did a lot of online research for a good baby cam because there are a ton of bad ones out there. This one was a little pricier then the average but I wanted a stand alone screen and something I could use on my phone. The app set up was a little wonky but eventually got it to work. The device screen that comes with it let's you turn an led indicator on or off when the cam is working. It has some white noise and music that will play with it and a night light. It's night mode works pretty well. You will have to tweak some of the alert detection features a bit before you find why you like. I had the noise sensitivity set to high and it was detecting the music coming from the device. It allows you to change the sensitivity. One of the features I bought it for was the park mode. Basically you can stow the camera facing down and not recording when not in use. Gives a little piece of mind. I mounted the camera to the wall and so far everything is working well.

Laggy, but better than others.
We’ve tried several monitors and this one is the best we’ve tried, but it’s definitely not perfect. We wanted a camera that has an actual hand-held monitor and also has the app. The app isn’t always reliable but it works better than Motorola’s app. I do wish that it recorded and saved movements automatically like Motorola’s did, but at least it loads 90% of the time which is way more than I can say for Motorola. My major complaint about this device is the lag time the video feed has. It’s a choppy video feed which is quite frustrating, especially when I’m trying to time my entrance right so my 1 yr old doesn’t climb out of the crib! I also agree with other reviewers that the kickstand needs a redesign so that it functions better. But otherwise the device is good.

Great!
Great picture, sound it's good easy to use. It does sometimes loose signal but it could just be my internet. I haven't had any issue out of it so far!

App is only available in US. Hence it's quite useless for us when we want to access the camera outside

It a great camera the quality of the filming can drop some time but not that bad . The led lights really great my kids love looking at it when I chose the rainbow collar.

Don’t waste your money. Keeps disconnecting. Reset and reset and keeps disconnecting. Then they told me it was my phone was the issue. I have one work phone. Same. And my wife’s phone. Same. Just keeps disconnecting

Worked great for a couple of months and then stopped working. App glitched and then then the hardware too. Now I’m stuck with a non functional camera while the leapfrog support is completely useless.

The mobile app is not working in Saudi Arabia so you lose a lot of functions that can be used via app. Overall the quality is fine, we are able to use it in 2-floor townhouse
