I was hesitant to buy another one of these after the first two I bought didn't work properly, but I'm glad I did. I use this to attach a roku in my vehicle, which only has composite inputs. I needed it to feed the rear screen for the kids on long drives.This unit does it very well and the picture quality is exceptionally better than the cheaper generics I tried.The generic units had a very dark and washed out picture, and about 50% of the time the rear tv screen would be black and white, I suspect the signal strength wasn't strong enough. Those would also send a loud pop sound to the audio outputs on power off.This unit consistently delivers color to both screens, does not pop on power off and the picture is bright and of good quality. In addition, even though it has a power supply, I found it's not needed, at least with a roku stick attached. Very happy with this unit.

CONSUMER BEWARE!I bought this product to convert the HDMI from my PlayStation4 to the RCA/S-Video inputs of my old flat screen tv. On rare occasions, the product would work and my tv would display a very poor quality picture. However, today I attempted to use the converter to use my PlayStation. The converter made a long continuous beeping noise and proceeded to short my PlayStation out. I have tried all factory resets on the PlayStation (using a different tv) but even if it starts up at all, it will quickly short out again and shut itself off. There is no doubt in my mind that this product is the cause of my Playstation dying completely. Because of this $35 product, I now have to find $400 to pay for a new PlayStation4. I will not order from this company again and I strongly encourage that no one else take this risk. I will be returning this product and using the $35 that will be returned to put toward my $400 purchase that I now have to make.

Does not work. I cabled it to intercept a working HDMI output from my satellite DVR (can connect cable to TV and its fine) to this and output s-video to an old DVD recorder (which I can bring up menu, etc. & see) but for the signal input from the adatper S-Video all I get are multicolor bars (very pretty, but no actual image). The package has a 1 page flier, no support info, email, etc. Worthless.... Looks like I will be returning this.

I have been having trouble finding something affordable to let me hook up HDMI devices to my old rear projection TV in the basement - and they all were too expensive to make it make sense. This was about half the price of the devices I've found in the past and it worked great. Be sure to make sure the switches on the front are set to your region as well as for either cable or video. I initially thought it was broken because I had the switches wrong.

My kids wanted to play with their Nintendo Switch while we were on vacation at a place where there was only an old SD TV. We got this converter, plugged in the HDMI cable from the switch, and the RCA cables to the TV - and like magic - the kids could play their games. Easy Peasy! Highly recommended for anyone who needs to play a game with only HDMI out to an SD TV. It's perfect.

Ratsmart made a good product when they made this HDMI to RCA converter box. It’s stamped with a low price tag, easy to use and comes with very good signal quality.

I bought this product a month ago and I tried to use it a few days ago and the part does not work, I tried to connect it with the s video out and with the rca out and it has poor quality,
