Do your research before you buy this
The directions for this camera were absolutely the worst we have ever seen, and we have seen some bad ones! They were sloppily translated from Chinese and extremely hard to understand. We have not owned or used a dash cam before, so we could not even figure out how to set it up based on these instructions. Thank goodness Amazon's return policy is so good - we sent it back.

DO NOT BUY. ONLY WORK FOIR 2 MONTHS.
I bought 2 of these units. Worked for 2 and a half months only. Both units restart the loop after 20 to 30 seconds ( i have them set to 3 min loop) and then eventually lock up the screen and i must reboot the unit.I have reformatted the sd cards several times and also have done a factory reset with a paper clip. To no avail, I cannot get these units to work now.All that I can say is JUNK!!!!!

It would be nice to know what is blinking and why and all ...
I gave it only 3 stars because it does not come with setup directions or an owners manual for all of the settings. You have to sit and play with it to figure out what it can do. I am still not sure if I have it set up correctly. It would be nice to know what is blinking and why and all of the other things that show up on the screen while recording. Do not know how to utilize playback on the camera so I took the SD card out and all looked good on my computer.

Which is dumb. I still use it
Ok, only have about a 20 to 30 minute drive & the pictures are only a 1.02 at a time. It shuts off but that is only the part we see, as long as it is plugged in it goes every 1.02. Which is dumb. I still use it, but looking for something that runs longer.

Instructions were impossible to understand. All attempts to get English to appear on the camera screen failed. I finally gave up and returned the item. The entire product, packaging and instructions seems very cheap and knock off.

broke right away
bought as a christmas gift for someone, it worked okay for 1 month then said there was an error with the microSD card, now it will not accept any microSD card new or old.
