At least 1/4 of each can is inedible immature peanuts-- which is to say 1/4 of those peanut shells are empty shells with no solid peanut inside. The quality of the peanuts is horrid. I suspect these are the rejects that didn't make it passed Q/A for other products. Many are blackened by mold (of course the mold is not active or alive past the canning process.) I approve of the seller, however this particular item was one of my worst experiences for a USA made product. After trying one can, I am throwing the other three cans from my order away. There is probably 3oz of salt in each can. Even after multiple washings this product barely edible and undoubtedly hazardous to your health.

They are salty, but soaking them in tap water in the fridge for a day and a night brings the saltiness down to what I prefer. Some people would like them just as they come from the can. They are easy to hull, a simple, old fashioned treat.

They taste just as GREAT as I remember for years ago. Just put them in the Crockpot and let them cook on low all night then when they are soft, serve them up.

I love boiled peanuts so much I bought this huge can. I have no regrets
