How hot does the hot water get?

The default and max temperature for hot water is 203 degrees Fahrenheit, given 203 F is a great temperature for all coffee and tea brewing methods as it extracts the maximum amount of flavor without burning the coffee grounds or tea leaves like boiling water (212 F) does. If you would like to dispense heated water at a temperature below 203 F, this can be easily adjusted by holding down the "Hot" button for 3 seconds and tapping the 12 oz and 8 oz buttons to adjust the temperature (up or down). Regardless of the selected temperature, M1 will consistently dispense purified hot water at the selected temperature in only 3 seconds.

Is the 6L tank made of plastic?  If not, what?

ABS plastic is considerably more expensive than other plastics given it's a BPA-free, food-grade plastic with superior hardness, durability, and gloss. This is 4 times more efficient than standard under-sink ro systems, which produce about 4 gallons of wastewater for every 1 gallon of pure water. M1 has a commercial grade 200G Flux RO membrane (200 gallons per day capacity) which significantly improves the RO process. M1’s RO membrane enables faster water flow, ensuring filters stay clean and require less energy to operate. M1 is also much quieter than other systems and exerts less stress on the motor which leads to long-term reliability. M1 is a versatile, all-in-one solution for water purification with instant hot & cold water, and an oversized 1.5 gallon tank for minimal refilling. Additionally, M1 is thoughtfully designed with quality materials. Entry level countertop RO systems commonly have an RO membrane of around 100G, sometimes even less. These products often advertise a high Pure:Drain ratio, without mention of the associated lengthy filtration process, shorter lifespan of the machine and filters, and the less thorough filtration process resulting in weak contaminant reduction / high TDS levels.

Lower end Countertop RO systems typically have an RO membrane of 100G or less. While these systems may produce less wastewater, the filtration process takes longer, the filters and machine lack durability, and the less stringent filtration process results in a lower level of contaminant reduction / higher TDS levels.
