WOW
First, shipping was FAST. the harp arrived in great condition, well-packed for its journey. I like the modern styling of these instruments. The round holes help, in several ways, to make it easier to play accurately. I believe this style of comb makes a better seal to the reed plates, which helps make it more airtight. As most any Harp player who has facial hair will attest, it hurts when a part of your mustache, or beard gets caught and ripped out..... OUCH..... Or, ever been cut with a sharp edge when playing? The smooth profiles and lack of sharp edges are a plus. On a personal note, having suffered an accident to my hands some years ago, I find it difficult to hold my Harmopnica in the standard way. With the JDR Ninja's modern design and that noticeable groove in the covers, I find that I can comfortably hold it in my left hand, in the standard grip. The tones produced are reminiscent of some of the better Harps I've played. The one I have (but not the last) came sounding well-tuned and is almost too easy to bend. I find it joyful to play and I don't believe you would be losing money by trying a Ninja out.

Impressed by the quality!
I’ve never heard of this brand (JDR) but after reading the info (remember-you can’t believe everything you read!) I thought I’d give it a try because I liked the design with the round holes. It was also a cyber Monday deal so the price seemed fair. Now, I’ve only had it a couple days and probably played it 2-3 hours. Here’s my impression: very well made, nice volume because it’s pretty air tight, sounds as good as more expensive harps and played nicely-even the upper register notes! I also liked the smoother edge where it meets your lips. I really hope it holds up after more play but so far I’m impressed and would definitely buy it again. In fact, I looked to buy the one in the key of G but the deal is no longer available so I’m going to work with this one further before buying another.

Sound on this thing is incredible.
Well made and doesn't feel cheap in your hands. Full bright sound that is perfectly tuned and professional looking black and gold. The case that it comes with is amazing and very pocket friendly. Easy to carry and play. Would definitely buy another for a gift.

The first few holes basically did not work after a few hours
Got the harmonica and tried it out. When it worked it looked like it was good. After a few hours, blowing in the first few holes stopped working. It worked on and off and at times completely behaved as though its stuck. I ended up getting a replacement and even in that I feel that hole 3 for some reason suddenly does not work as it should. This could be any hole I think, but in my case it was 3. I have a Hohner Rocket and I have not had any issues consistently blowing in any of the holes. It worked perfectly all the time. But with this harmonica, there seems to be some odd problem where at times the holes basically do not make any sound at all for some reason.I will keep trying the replacement and see how it goes. It that also has the same issue after some days. I will be returning for a refund as the harmonica needs to work consistently and not when ever it wants.

Great pocket instrument
I purchased this harmonica to replace the Hohner I've had for a decade. I was a little unsure because it wasn't a brand I had heard of, but man! This is a quality instrument! Pitch bending seems to be easier with this instrument compared to my Hohner, and I really love the heaviness of it. Makes it feel quality in addition to sounding like it.

Jack of all jazz
recently purchased the Harmonica C Scale from Amazon, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This harmonica offers exceptional quality at an affordable price point, making it a fantastic choice for both beginners and seasoned players alike.Firstly, the build quality is remarkable. The harmonica feels sturdy in hand, with a solid construction that promises durability. The stainless steel cover plates not only add to its durability but also give it a sleek and professional look.Sound-wise, this harmonica truly shines. The C scale produces clear and crisp notes across its range. Whether I'm playing blues, folk, or even some classic rock tunes, the harmonica delivers a rich, full-bodied sound that's both satisfying to play and listen to.One feature that stands out is its airtightness. The airtight design ensures that every note sounds just as it should, without any unwanted air leaks. This is crucial for maintaining consistent sound quality and makes playing a breeze, especially for beginners learning proper technique. In terms of playability, the Harmonica C Scale is comfortable and responsive. The ergonomic design makes it easy to hold and play for extended periods without discomfort. The reeds are also responsive, allowing for smooth transitions between notes and making it a joy to experiment with different melodies and techniques.Overall, I highly recommend the Harmonica C Scale to anyone in the market for a reliable and high-quality instrument. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn or a seasoned player wanting to expand your collection, this harmonica offers fantastic value for its price. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and look forward to many hours of musical enjoyment with this harmonica in hand.

Really nice!
I play harmonica and guitar and have gone through a lot of harmonicas throughout the years. I've tried a variety of brands and price ranges, but have been using the Fender Blues Deville. I saw this harmonica come up on Amazon prime days and the reviews and price were pretty good. I took a chance and bought the G harmonica. I'm glad I did, because this is my go to harmonica at all my shows now! I was very pleased with the sound and in comparison to the Fender and the Marine band, it sounds just as good! Give it a try.

My 2nd JDR, love the round holes versus square on most all others. Great sound & comfy fit in hands

A bit weighty, but loud, rich tones. My first Ninja, won't be my last.
Really liked this specially tuned harp right out of the box. Easy learning curve, but NOT for playing blues, due to it's special tuning. Good and loud, nicely in tune, and fine perfect for Celtic music. Heavier than SP 20s and MBs.The black stealth coating is easy to like too.
