What a helpful little gadget.
I dog sit. That means I am always at clients' houses. I also work long hours away from home at my other job which is not glamorous. I bring a lot of stuff with me to work because my hours are long, and I can be either outdoors or indoors and either protected or grubbing it out in the dirt. That means while I may bring a lot to work, I am also very streamlined. Things like loperamide, an extra jacket, bottle of water, hat, gloves, aspirin or acetaminophen, sunscreen, bandana...you get the picture. So, whether I am at my clients' or I am at the second jobsite I can tote these Flex Flaps with me easily. And instantly have a stand for my phones (yes, I bought more than one Flex Flap because I have more than one device) and they don't add weight or bulkiness to my working setup. I don't have a car. So, it's one thing to have these conveniently handy going to and from a car. The weight difference won't matter. But when you bus and bike it...weight is a huge deal. So is bulkiness. These handy little gems have no weight and no bulkiness, and they do what they say they will do without charging me an arm a leg and a torso. They can easily pack at a bottom of a tote or wide purse. Stick 'em in a backpack. Went with me on my trip to Las Vegas. Easy Peasy. Never tried a fanny pack but why not? And they work absolutely everywhere. I've even used them for holding books. Get creative, hang him, stand 'em - do a bit of both. I'm thinking about buying 4 more of these as gifts. They are THAT GOOD. THAT CONVENIENT. They flatten easily as well. A couple of tips. They bend better over edges...so I always use a napkin and roll them into shape over the edge of a table. The napkin should be cloth because you don't want to harm the surface of the table. The reason is that it is easy to use existing forms to create better stands than to free form it. And don't bend them over metal edges or even metal...at least I wouldn't. Why take a chance at ruining the cover. Soft edges work better. Second, they work better if they've been warmed up. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT put them in a microwave or water. But I'll stick them in between my undershirt and overshirt to warm them up. It's a degree of softness. It doesn't really matter they are going to work for you no matter what. You'll find plenty of uses. Please feel free to tell us how you configured them and what for? Cause I know I've used them for all sorts of things...travel being the least of it. And they wipe clean easily. Imagine me at a client's house wanting to use my phone to catch up on "The Blacklist" on Netflix...who wants to hold your phone for 7 seasons...nah, just set it up and play it. Simply wonderful. I back this product.

Bends nicely.
Love it. I keep it in my purse and wherever I go I just set my phone on it. It’s great.

Worthwhile, will not return to completely flat.
Feels just like a piece of aluminum with silicone cover. Worthwhile, but will not go back to being flat.

Just what I needed
I was in search of something to use to set my phone up higher on the treadmill since the “phone holder” for the treadmill sucks and this was perfect. At first I thought it wouldn’t go around the treadmill “headboard” since it was thick but it held up just right. I did add a magnetic strip that came with my phone case so that the phone wouldn’t shake or slide off little by little when doing higher speeds in the treadmill and once I added the magnet it was perfect. It would be cool if it came with MagSafe somehow installed but this did the trick.

Expect Natural Creases
First thing to note is that there will be creases and fold indentations when using these. Tough to fully straighten out. Even if you try, cannot get it back to its original flat form (not for perfectionists). Afraid overtime something will snap inside and render a section uselessThis product is basically a bendable metal (?) wrapped/stitched in leatherYou can fold it into any shape you wantHanging off tables and other appliances is mixed. It can work, but not all the time without support. Must be creative with the balancing or use other objects to help hold it in placeFor example, hanging off the table. The stock photo with a backpack is impossible unless the backpack is empty or you have a paper weight on it. Stock photo with the headrest, your headrest weight must have pressure on it. For car vents, must fold a tiny curve to hang on the backside which is not that easy to do, plus the weight hanging off it may damage your vents overtimeIt is flat and good for travel, but you must know the limitation and ways around it
