Thanks for sending me a hat that looked exactly like the picture. I love it!

So, although it is black it's not super hot because the weave is not super tight. It has a built-in elastic-style headband, which not only keeps perspiration out of your eyes, but it also allows for a flexible size range when it come to fit. Most fitted hats with an interior headband, fit one size and one size only... Not this hat, which makes it fit equally well whether you're head is shaved or you have a thick mop of hair, or even if you like to wear a bandanna under your hat... this hat, in most cases will still fit comfortably. Unfortunately, because these Grimm hats are made of a wider weave straw they're not as durable as say a tight-weaver harder hat... an nowhere near as durable as hats made from felt, leather, etc. But otherwise, it's an awesome hat for the money!

This is a really cute hat, but a little over-priced. Got it for my brother’s 50th birthday. The first one was sent without any wrapping in a box with some heavy items and was crushed (see photos). I thought of using steam to return the shape, but at the price point of this item, decided I just shouldn’t have to do that. My second item arrived in perfect condition. My brother’s head is a little small (so tempted to insert a sisterly jab here, but will be mature). We resolved this by tightening the headband. He loves the hat and enjoys it for summer because it’s not hot like his favorite outback leather hat.

My last straw hat was only a few dollars less than this on Amazon and fell apart and looked like crap for most of its life. This hat on the other hand is made much better upon inspection. Everything from the quality of the straw to the sewing of the wire rim to the hat band, everything about it speaks “real hat “ I have to say I’m really impressed with this brand and I’ll be looking at more of their hats.

This hat has an inner band that holds it at any angle you want. It fits like a glove and the color is very appropriate.

I purchased this for my son for our beach vacation (it was either that or a Bahamas Indiana jones hat). I purchased a couple of hats and not only was this the most comfortable, he got a ton of compliments on it. It was light weight, looked cool and did the job of protecting his face. I'd give it a hundred stars if I could.

Wore it outside and caught in the rain - the whole thing was ruined and had to toss it

The photos of the hat show a slight tea-stain or distressed, faded look. In reality the hat is solid brown. Not natural straw but just brown, no fading or tea stained look. I was disappointed when it arrived because it didn’t match my expectations but it’s grown on me. It’s light, very breathable, keeps my neck out of the sun.

I got this for my bald brother and he loves it! The band inside is very soft and the straw is sleek and tightly woven so it doesn't scratch his head or let in light. He's very happy with his new golfing hat!
