I use to buy the refrigerated spinach in plastic bags. No matter what brand I bought, the bagged spinach would always get soggy, mushy and wet. Sometimes even before its expiration date. I would have to pick through the mushy leaves to find some still good ones. Yuck. This way is so much better!!!!!!!!!!! This can came piled high with fresh bright green spinach. I put a handful into my omelets, soups, casseroles. Even put it into spaghetti sauce for extra nutrition and it tasted great. It is nice to know I always have spinach on hand. Even better this can method lasts for years, not a week in the refrigerator. As grocery store food items keeps going up in price, it is nice to know I have this great value on hand. Buying another. Excellent product and highly recommend!

These are really good and you get a good amount of flakes. I add them to green smoothies and soups. Also a spoonful here and there to my pup’s food! Taste is great and they last a long time in the pantry.

Love having this stuff around, and I use it regularly, not just for emergency back ups. I primarily use it in the filling for lasagne, stuffed shells and manicotti, but also in soups, and in stir fry dishes for extra colour, fiber and nutrition. The flakes are small, and combine easily with other ingredients. I find it to be a money saver, because I have a hard time using up a bag of spinach before it goes bad, and this is the perfect solution, and it tastes better and fresher than frozen chopped spinach. After opening, I store it in a jar using my vacuum sealer, and store it in my windowless pantry. I would like to tell you that it lasts a long time before it starts losing it flavour, colour and smell - but I use it up before I find out! and If you haven't tried it in smoothies, you should - especially with pineapple and citrus juices. It gives a gorgeous bright green colour, and you can't really taste it - PERFECTION! I have never been unhappy about buying Auguson Farms emergency supplies - they are always good

I think this must be made from larger spinach leaves as it really requires cooking as instructed and does not rehydrate quickly. There have been a couple of harder stem pieces in the cooked portions yet the pieces themselves are pretty small but definitely not powdered. Great to add to soup (I cook it first separately for every use) and I add this to ramen and eggs (omelettes, scrambled, quiche), a little does go a long way. Not a lot of flavor and certainly no comparison to fresh but useful to have around as I don’t have to defrost a whole brick from the freezer any longer. I wouldn’t use it just as a side dish by itself, this definitely needs to go in with something else. Price point is good on sale but it’s not my favorite product made by Augason farms though convenient. Better than canned spinach as it’s firm pieces and not mushy.
