The clock works charmingly and brings a smile by its absurdity every time the cuckoo appears. The quality control was however more "1970s Britain" than German, though there was nothing that could not be rectified by a little gluing and pinning, always a preferable alternative to returning. However, it really should not be that bad for the price. It is the instructions that are lamentable being crudely and inaccurately translated. There is one occasion where a mis-placed "not" requires you to do the very opposite to what is intended.

Nice looking clock.Suckers work well though they do add more to the depth than expected and can be seen from the side.The hook to use to hang is very small so the screw head I usually use is too wide, have to use a nail.Mine came with the hands loose so there was no way it was going to point to the time. Rather than sending it back I took it apart and pushed them home, reselling and the hands have been fine since. However, in effecting my own solution I noticed there were two screws missing and the wire from the battery to the power unit doesn't have its own slot so SITS proud at the join. This is clearly a design oversight and I am hoping it isn't going to be an issue,

Clock automatically sets to German time - no matter what we do, it will not re-set to BST. No means of adjustment - no one able to offer a solution. Sending it back!!!!Ridiculous!!!!!!

Although the clock looks nice, after several weeks of expecting it to get to the correct time of day, it turns out that it is set to continental europe time, and is picking up the DCF signal from Germany!This was not clear in the details, nor in the small advice sheet that came with it. I only realised after looking on the internet at great length to find out why it wasn't picking up the signal from Cumbria. Why sell a product that's only any use in Europe, in the UK?!

This is a stylish clock and quality made. However, if you are living in the UK forget it!! This clock only picks up the German time signal so it is always 1 hour ahead of UK time. If you are looking for a radio controlled clock, make sure it picks up the MSF-60 time signal which broadcasts UK time.

Bit expensive but matched our kitchen so well we had to get it. Really good quality and quiet.

Overall this is a very stylish clock, getting to grips with the settings for someone like me with big hands was very fiddly and the black plastic inner case superimposed with raised black icons was a nightmare to see, I had to resort to using a torch to see what I was doing, that said once I had it up and going I was pleased with it. It dropped one star for being so fiddly.

Beautiful looking clock that unfortunately is consistently one hour fast. Tried repeatedly to reset and moved to different locations but clock will persist in showing wrong time. Returned for refund as not suitable for UK market.
