I always use Humbrol Decalfix. Pour what you need from the bottle into a bowl. Soak the decal for a few minutes. Wet the area where the decal is going with the Decalfix, then slide decal into position. Carefully absorb the excess with a tissue. After use, ensure the remaining Decalfix is clean then pour back into the bottle. It's as easy as that, and lasts a long time. I'm on my 6th model and I'm still using the same bottle. When the decals dry, they fix tight to the plastic clearly showing the panel lines etc. They look painted on and there is no silvering around the edges. Recommended.

Works well if you want an easy to use decal fixative.

I was slightly skeptical about using any product other than water forr waterslide transferws but this stuff really is amazing. it literally sucks the transfer into the contours leaving it looking likre they are painted on, allows easy re-positioning and takes the hassle out of decalling a kit.I used this on a very complex decal set over 20 yrears old and whilst it was a challenge without this stuff it would not have worked at all. Its simple to use and does the job really very well, on my second bottle and thoroughly recommend it

It does exactly what it should do. Putting decals is really easy now, can't imagine life without it. Very easy to use, if in doubt you can check on YT for a tutorial.

I bought this to apply transfers to model cars, having used a similar product in the past. I found that when applied over enamel paint, it actually 'dissolves' the paint and spreads it over the transfer, also removing the paint from the model. On a WRC Mini it removed the black paint from the bodywork sills which had to be carefully repainted after the decal had been applied. I have now changed brands and gone back to the old one which allows application without the 'dissolve' issue

Does what it says on the .... errrm ... jar! Definitely makes it easier to apply decals to kits and I've had fewer torn decals since using this.

After a 10 year break from kit building I started again with a few Tamiya kits and as soon as I tried weathering the kits the airbrush blew away all the decals from the previous day. Purchased this to solidify them after having to buy complete aftermarket sets but they can take ages to dry yet still fall off with contact.
